When you first arrive in Wuling in Arknights Endfield, you’ll see Stragglers Grove, but you won’t be able to fully explore it right away. Like other locations in Endfield, you need to complete a side quest to unlock it. Luckily, this quest is fairly easy! How to Explore Stragglers Grove in Arknights Endfield
While players can technically go back to the island containing Stragglers Grove and its surrounding areas, they won’t be able to explore much of it thanks to all the bamboo blocking the way. In order to fully open this area up for exploration, you’ll need to complete a quest chain starting with Silent Grove: The Beginning.
How to Start the Silent Grove Quests
To start the Silent Grove quest, look for a message from Mi Fu in your Baker’s messages. If you don’t see it, you may need to advance further in the main storyline first.
Silent Grove: The Beginning Quest Objectives
- Read Mi Fu’s Message
- Find Watchguard Li Zhui
- Go to Qingbo Stockade and Gather Intel
- Talk to Qingwu
- Grab Materials Needed to Fix the Raft
- Go to the Qingbo Stockade Ferry Point
- Travel to Burdensnout Hill Ferry Point
- Look for Missing People in the Grove
- Touch the Core
- Fix the Hydrocube
- Touch the Core
- Enter Stragglers Grove
- Check the Note on the Ground
Finishing this task will fix the rafts, allowing you to travel through Stragglers Grove and the surrounding lands.
Similar to most quests in Endfield, Silent Grove: The Beginning guides you step-by-step. The game clearly shows you what to do, so just follow the on-screen marker and you’ll easily complete it. It should only take about 20 minutes.
Silent Grove: Zhailing Islet
- Perform a Scan to locate Footprints
- Activate Guiding Lights to Exit the Grove
- Continue Looking for Missing People
- Save the Stockade Residents
- Get Close to Core W1
- Fix Core W1
Once you finish ‘Silent Grove: The Beginning,’ the next quest, ‘Silent Grove: Zhailing Islet,’ will start automatically. Just follow the quest marker on your screen, although you’ll encounter a puzzle near the beginning where you need to turn on lights in the right order.
When you come to the bamboo blocking the path, stand facing the stone animal statue. Then, turn right. Light the nearest lantern, and after that, light the next one.
Now, turn back towards the statue and then turn left. Walk along the path, turning on any lanterns you find along the way.
Now, simply head towards the quest marker to reach your next goals. You might need to return to one of your bases in Endfield to collect some bottles first, as you’ll need them to fill a water terminal near the bridge.
Bottles aren’t used up when you use them to spray water or pour liquids. You can refill them easily by standing near a water source and selecting the ‘Fill’ option from the quick action menu – it’s the same menu you use to open Photo Mode in Endfield.
Silent Grove: South Hill
- Use a Raft to Travel to South Hill
- Find the Missing Tianshi
- Follow the Trail
- Fix Core S3
This is the quickest quest in the Silent Grove series, and it’s very straightforward. Completing it will immediately begin a final quest, after which you’ll have full access to the Stragglers Grove area of Jingyu Valley.
