As Monster Hunter Wilds struggles with “Overwhelmingly Negative” Steam reviews, fans praise Capcom “for listening” as it confirms plans to add permanent Arch-tempered monster variants

Since the launch of Monster Hunter Wilds earlier this year, the community has been eagerly asking for two features: long-term event quests and Arch-tempered versions. Now, due to the influence of players’ fear of missing out (FOMO), Capcom is finally introducing the latter.

The developer, Capcom, has announced that Arch-tempered monsters will become permanently playable in the game due to popular demand. This deviation from the original Monster Hunter World’s roadmap is a result of listening to player feedback.

The developer has announced that the characters Rey Dau and Uth Duna, both of which are highly challenging versions, will now remain permanently playable. Specifically, Rey Dau will return on July 23 with the Festival of Accord: Flamefete event and will be available permanently from that date. Interestingly, Capcom has also revealed that Arch-tempered Uth Duna will be made available a week earlier than originally planned, starting from July 23 as well.

In addition to the current excitement, there might be even more thrilling news on the horizon. The developers seem to suggest that they may make some event quests permanent in the future. To put it simply, they are contemplating keeping the event quests for upcoming Arch-tempered monsters and other special events available all the time once implemented. Once the details of these changes have been confirmed, they will inform us about what exactly will change and when these updates will be rolled out.
