Ascetic’s Rest is the first area you’ll explore inside the Jijeong Temple Pagoda, one of the towers in the world of Crimson Desert. You’ll find a flooded room leading to a hallway without power. To solve the puzzle, you need to drain the water and find a hidden chamber containing the power panel. This guide will quickly walk you through solving the Ascetic’s Rest Abyss puzzle in Crimson Desert and help you continue the main story.

Ascetic’s Rest Abyss Puzzle Solution in Crimson Desert

You’ll first come across the Ascetic’s Rest during Chapter 9: The Safe of the Desert in Crimson Desert, specifically while completing the ‘Face the Inner Self’ main quest. The quest mainly asks you to pass through the area and climb to the top, but you have the option to pause and solve the puzzle there if you’d like.

First, go to the turbine in the water and use your Nature’s Snare ability near it to lower the water level. Continue using Nature’s Snare until the water stops draining.

After you finish up there, go up the stairs to the left of the flooded room. You’ll come to a statue, and then go down another set of stairs until you reach a stone lantern and a wall.

Use your Turning Slash to destroy the wall, which will drain the rest of the water from the room.

Once you’ve created an opening in the wall, go back to the flooded area. You’ll see the water has drained, uncovering a secret room beneath the platform. Enter the room to find and collect the square power panel, which you’ll need to solve the Ascetic’s Rest puzzle in Crimson Desert.

Now, simply lift the power panel onto the platform, climb up, and take the power plate to fit it into the square opening on the wall of the main chamber. Once the panel is aligned, use Force Palm to secure it, which will activate the puzzle’s main mechanism.

Okay, so I finally figured out the Ascetic’s Rest puzzle in Crimson Desert! All you have to do is use a force palm on that circular part in the middle, and it unlocks! Don’t forget to grab the Abyss Artifact from the gate once it’s open. Then you can continue with the ‘Face the Inner Self’ quest – awesome!
