When it comes to transforming video games into visual media, there are examples like The Last of Us that remain faithful to the original storyline, and movies such as “The Super Mario Bros” which cater more to the fans of the game.
Kojima expressed his desire to bring Death Stranding to life on the big screen, stating, “As a cinema lover, I’m eager to explore the unique capabilities of film. My goal is to craft a Death Stranding that can only be achieved through cinematic means, a project that could potentially earn accolades at prestigious film festivals such as Cannes or Venice.
