Leaked concept art from the upcoming remake of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic has popped up recently, hailing back to the project’s early stages. Knights of the Old Republic, a highly-praised video game within the popular multimedia sci-fi series, garnered numerous awards upon its initial release and has consistently been celebrated as one of the franchise’s finest titles. The reimagining of Knights of the Old Republic has experienced a bumpy and challenging journey during its production phase. According to MP1st, a fresh piece of artwork depicting a revamped version of Kashyyyk, the iconic Wookiee home planet in the remake of Knights of the Old Republic, has come to light recently. This art presents a high-definition rendition of the planet’s dense forests and lush vegetation that surround a base on the surface. Interestingly, this artwork was supposedly shared from an earlier concept for the Knights of the Old Republic remake, developed by a designer who worked at Aspyr until 2021 – the year the remake was first announced.
As work on the concept art for the game “Knights of the Old Republic” progresses, it remains unclear how development is proceeding. Tim Willits, Saber Interactive’s Chief Creative Officer, previously stated that the remake of “Knights of the Old Republic” is still being actively developed, but there hasn’t been much more news about the game this year. Initially, the remake was planned as an exclusive for PS5 by Aspyr and Sony, but it’s rumored that the game has since expanded to a multi-platform release.
Although enthusiasts for the classic game Knights of the Old Republic might be in for a long wait until its anticipated remake releases, Star Wars gaming enthusiasts haven’t been left wanting.
