In the game “Assassin’s Creed Shadows,” the primary objective is titled “The Heart of the Monster.” This mission revolves around Naoe’s pursuit to track down and eliminate Oba Nobunaga, an individual she suspects played a role in her father’s demise.

In this primary mission, the player is tasked with meeting Ise Sadaoki, a confidant of Mitsuhide, and executing a covert operation involving the retrieval of crucial documents.

In the game ‘Assassin’s Creed Shadows’, the mission called ‘The Belly of the Beast’ may not take long, but it could prove tricky if you’re not a pro at stealth operations. Here’s a guide to help you conquer this main quest.

How to Complete the Belly of the Beast Quest

To begin the Belly of the Beast main quest, players should first visit Ise Sadaoki at Yamashiro. Fortunately, the game provides a guidance marker, eliminating the requirement for using Scouts to locate your destination.

Head over to Sadaoki’s designated spot, where you’ll find him at a waterside location. Naoe clarifies that she was dispatched by Mitsuhide to discuss something with him, though it appears he’s not particularly interested in the details.

In this interaction, there are two choices you can make: either express that you may have upset someone or demonstrate your abilities. Since I am portraying the character of a self-assured and fearless Naoe, I chose the option to showcase my skills. However, you’re welcome to pick whichever choice suits your character best.

In essence, Sadaoki behaves very impolitely towards Naoe, insisting that she procure crucial documents from Kyoto. Notwithstanding his rudeness, Naoe complies with his request. Thus, our next task at hand is to “Obtain the Documents.

Retrieving the Papers

Contrary to what was expected earlier, the game does not offer a specific marker or guide to the location of the papers. Instead, players must navigate and search for their locations independently.

Upon arriving at the waypoint, situated within a compact fortress, take note that the individuals you seek can be found in a structure located on the western side. For your convenience, simply look for the small, blue marker, which indicates the precise location of the document.

Remember that there’s a good number of soldiers stationed here, so it’s best to approach stealthily. One effective strategy would be to scale the outer walls on the western side and use Kunai to take out enemies from a distance. In my experience, I only needed to eliminate three opponents undetected to obtain the papers.

Upon stepping into the building, you’ll straightaway perceive a solider standing guard over some documents. You can opt for either a stealthy approach by creeping up from behind and eliminating him, or employing Kunai to subdue him.

First, pick up the documents, then quickly leave the location and head back to Ido Sadoaki to hand over the papers. Following a brief scene, the primary mission, titled “The Temple of the Horseman,” kicks off.
