Assassin’s Creed Shadows” might get a bit repetitive at times. So, it’s highly suggested that the main characters, Naoe and Yasuke, make regular trips to their island for a relaxing break from the grind.

Absolutely, fellow gamer! It’s a delight to share that Ubisoft has truly outdone themselves in one aspect, creating an entire island where you can spend endless hours of pure bliss interacting with countless cats and kittens to your heart’s content.

Furthermore, interacting with various types of cats grants you the opportunity to welcome them into your sanctuary without charge during future visits, opening up the possibility for endless feline-petting encounters.

In the game AC Shadows, how do you find that enchanting, fluffy realm? If you’re meticulously completing all tasks in the game, a side quest will guide you there eventually. However, if you’re aware of the right spots, you can make an early visit as well.

Option 1: Head To Okishima

In order to encounter cats swiftly within “Assassin’s Creed Shadows”, you might want to visit the Cat Island immediately after completing the initial part of the game, once you’ve exited the starting area and moved on from your first map location (Naoe).

You should make your way towards the Omi region, which is located in the northeastern part of the map. Even though you might be significantly weaker than the enemies in this area early on in the game, it’s alright to roam around as long as you avoid any confrontations for now.

In the center of Lake Biwa lies a substantial island, situated northwest of the city of Azuchi. This island serves as your goal; therefore, consider either swimming or searching for a boat near the coast that you could use to hasten your trip.

Ultimately, you will find yourself on Aoi-shima, or Cat Island, which is famous for its feline inhabitants. In the northwestern part of the island, there’s a hilltop vantage point that provides convenient access for future journeys back.

Although the island doesn’t boast hundreds of cats as anticipated, it does have around two dozen friendly felines that you can play with and stroke to your heart’s content.

Option 2: The Wheel Turns Side Quest

As a gamer, I found myself taking things slow and not rushing to find places. If that sounds like you too, don’t worry – you’ll eventually stumble upon Cat Island.

You’ll only be able to access this mission when you’ve progressed sufficiently in your campaign against the Shinbakufu targets. So, it may require some waiting for this opportunity to appear.

In order to activate The Wheel Turns, Yasuke should opt for any romantic dialogue choices with Lady Oichi. You can identify these options as they will have a heart symbol beside them, indicating they are part of the romantic conversation possibilities.

During his pursuit to charm Lady Oichi, Yasuke plans to arrange a rendezvous on Cat Island once he first discovers her residence in the south of Azuchi, right at the start of their adventure together.

During this journey, you might stumble upon additional meetings with cats and dogs as well! So, regardless of whether you’ve previously explored the island or not, when The Wheel Turns quest pops up, it remains an exciting opportunity to interact with these adorable creatures.
