In terms of initial release, Assassin’s Creed Shadows ranks as the second most successful title by Ubisoft, trailing slightly behind Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.
Based on data from TopMob’s sources, I shared on my social media platform (previously known as Twitter) a few hours ago, the details provided pertain to the last three major Assassin’s Creed games.
Based on our research, which uses data gathered by Ubisoft’s internal monitoring systems (previously used for other games as well), indicates that the sales of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla surpass those of Shadows, yet Shadows outperforms Odyssey in terms of sales.
Approximately two million gamers have already delved into Assassin’s Creed: Shadow within the first two days of its release, while a million players joined in on the first day alone, as announced by Ubisoft last week.
Based on available statistics, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla attracted approximately 2.55 million gamers on its launch day. In comparison, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey had slightly fewer players, around 1 million (approximately 430,000 during early access).
As of March 24th, it’s projected that Shadows will reach three million players in the near future. Following this trend, it might achieve around six million players within its first month. However, it’s important to note that unlike other popular Assassin’s Creed games which are typically released during the holiday season, Shadows was launched in the first quarter instead.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla did 8M in its first month, whereas Odyssey did 3.4 million.
As I’m typing this up, it seems that Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey is leading the pack with its player base among all other Assassin’s Creed games, boasting an impressive figure of more than 40 million unique gamers!
Once again, it’s important to note that these are game-specific identifiers, or player numbers, rather than sales figures. However, we can expect Ubisoft to provide insights into the game’s performance in the upcoming months.
