In our latest report, we discussed the first significant upgrade for Assassin’s Creed Shadows, an update that, while not massive, is highly anticipated due to a long-awaited feature it brings. This feature has been on my wishlist since the game’s launch, and I lamented its absence in my generally favorable review of the game.
If you’ve been seeking a more convenient method for horseback travel, this upcoming update is worth keeping an eye out for.
Auto-Follow, Finally
In the latest installments of Assassin’s Creed, there’s been a standout gameplay feature that significantly simplifies navigation through their vast open-world environments.
That feature is called “auto-follow”, enabling you, while on horseback, to simply click a button so your trusty mount will take the quickest route towards your goal.
Initially, Ubisoft failed to incorporate a specific feature in Assassin’s Creed Shadows upon its release. However, this feature is expected to be implemented in the game with the arrival of its first significant update.
I’m extremely pleased about it! In Assassin’s Creed Shadows, I’ve been enjoying exploring the stunning open world on horseback instead of using fast travel, but this new feature will greatly improve efficiency. With just one press of a button, I can relax and enjoy the show as I gallop swiftly across Feudal Japan on my steed.
It’s frustrating that Ubisoft didn’t include a crucial feature at launch and waited two weeks after release to add it. However, I’m still interested in the game, so I can deal with it.
I’m eagerly anticipating that there’s lots more to come for Assassin’s Creed: Shadows. Over the past few years, the DLC produced by Ubisoft for Assassin’s Creed games has consistently been top-notch.
