Summary
- Players are largely satisfied with Assassin’s Creed Shadows but desire improvements such as hiding weapons, returning the “Follow Path” mount feature, and faster animations.
- Players also wanted to see NPCs react to rainy weather, a quicker way to access Eagle Vision, and the addition of some minigames.
A week following the debut of “Assassin’s Creed Shadows”, players have begun compiling a wishlist for additional features, hoping to enhance gameplay and enrich the shinobi and samurai role-playing experience. Although they’ve pointed out certain aspects that could be refined, the “Assassin’s Creed Shadows” community generally expresses satisfaction with this installment’s mechanics, spending their time immersed in the expansive, visually stunning open world as they resist Oda Nobunaga’s forces.
In simpler terms, “Assassin’s Creed Shadows” is the 14th major installment in the Assassin’s Creed series, and it offers two main characters, Naoe the shinobi and Yasuke the samurai, who journey through a sequence of historical events to share their unique tales while preserving many iconic gameplay mechanics from the franchise. Despite some pre-release controversy, “Assassin’s Creed Shadows” has been receiving favorable reviews from Japanese critics, with praise going to the characters and Ubisoft’s vivid portrayal of Feudal Japan.
As a dedicated fan of the Assassin’s Creed series, I recently took to Reddit to voice my suggestions for future updates in the Assassin’s Creed community. Specifically, I proposed the addition of several new features and improvements to Assassin’s Creed Shadows, based on feedback from players like myself.
One of the key features I advocated for was the implementation of an ink filter, similar to that seen in other games within the series. After investing around 15 hours into the game, I can confidently say it is already fantastic, but I believe the ability to hide certain weapons, particularly Yasuke’s massive bow, would significantly enhance the gaming experience.
Additionally, I suggested the inclusion of a “Follow Path” mount feature and a faster Sell/Dismantle animation for an upcoming patch. These changes, if implemented, would greatly improve the gameplay and overall enjoyment of Assassin’s Creed Shadows for players like myself.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows Players Name Several Features They Want in Gameplay
Fortunately, players’ requests were met when Assassin’s Creed Shadows was launched, offering a detailed photo mode, allowing fans to preserve their journeys through Japan’s stunning scenery. However, some enthusiasts had further suggestions. One player proposed the ability to meditate or sleep until nighttime arrived, mimicking past games where Naoe might choose to infiltrate certain locations under cover of darkness, enhancing the role-playing aspect. Another Reddit user expressed a desire to see NPCs respond to rainy weather, a faster method for activating Eagle Vision, and the inclusion of mini-games, inspired by popular games such as Final Fantasy 7 Remake and Star Wars Outlaws.
Based on player feedback, Ubisoft plans to rectify the frame rate problem in the Hideout of Assassin’s Creed Shadows through an upcoming update. Players have reported a significant drop in frame rate when the main characters enter the hideout, which stands out against the otherwise smooth gameplay in most other parts of the game. Moreover, the developer will tackle issues with Naoe’s erratic Shinobi Bell, modify Yasuke’s Teppo skill tree, and resolve several bugs related to quests.
