Assassin’s Creed Shadows Preorders In Line With Odyssey

Ubisoft is content with the pre-release version of Assassin’s Creed Shadows. Despite facing several setbacks that moved the game from a 2024 release to March 25, 2025, Ubisoft’s CEO Yves Guillemot highlights that the game has garnered impressive pre-orders across the board.

During Ubisoft’s Q3 2025 earnings conference on Thursday, Guillemot stated that advance orders for Assassin’s Creed Shadows are performing steadily, comparable to those of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, which ranks as the second biggest hit in the series.

Besides the pre-orders, Ubisoft mentions that the game has received positive feedback from various perspectives during its previews.

Initial reactions to it have been favorable, commending its engaging story and immersive feel. Both characters are pivotal figures in the game’s plot, and their interplay contributes significantly to the gaming experience, as the dual protagonist setup offers a well-balanced and enjoyable gameplay. This was expressed by Guillemot.

He went on to praise: “I must acknowledge the exceptional skill and unwavering effort of the entire Assassin’s Creed team, who are putting in countless hours to make sure Shadow’s release lives up to being the franchise’s most ambitious project so far.

Initially set for launch on November 15, 2024, Assassin’s Creed Shadows has since experienced two delays. First, it was moved from February 14, 2025, to allow for further refinement and improvements. More recently, the release date was pushed back again, this time to March 20, 2025.
