As a gamer, I’m thrilled to share that I’ve been part of the 2 million strong crowd who jumped into Assassin’s Creed Shadows at its launch! It’s mind-blowing to know that this number surpasses what both Odyssey and Origins achieved when they first came out. Ubisoft has truly outdone themselves with this game.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows Has Surpassed 2 Million Players
In a recent update from the authentic Assassin’s Creed account on platform X (previously Twitter), it has been verified that Shadows has surpassed the launch figures of AC Origins and Odyssey, with a remarkable 2 million gamers embarking on their new journey in Feudal Japan. The game achieved the 1 million player milestone on its very first day.
It appears that Ubisoft’s release of Shadows on Steam is proving successful, surpassing the all-time peak player numbers of Assassin’s Creed Origins and coming close to matching those of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. Today, Shadows has reached a new record high of 59,941 players (at the time of writing), a number that could potentially increase as it’s the weekend. This figure surpasses the all-time peaks for Valhalla and Origins, which were 15,679 and 41,551 respectively, and is only slightly lower than Odyssey’s record of 62,069 players. It’s important to note that none of the other Assassin’s Creed games were launched on Steam on their first day.
As a diehard fan, I eagerly awaited the release of Assassin’s Creed Shadows, which faced multiple setbacks before finally hitting the shelves on March 20. But those extra months have proven to be golden, enabling the developers to craft an even more captivating and refined gameplay experience for us fans. I can hardly wait to witness the influx of new players drawn into its world and wonder if it will surpass all previous Assassin’s Creed games in popularity.
