Okay, so I’ve been hearing whispers for ages about Assassin’s Creed Shadows potentially coming to the Switch 2, and it looks like it’s actually happening! First, we saw a rating pop up online, then a listing at a French store with a temporary image and description. Now, the release date for AC Shadows on Switch 2 has finally been revealed – I’m super excited!

Assassin’s Creed Shadows Arrives for Switch 2 This December

According to a new report from Dealabs, Assassin’s Creed Shadows is expected to launch on the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 on December 5, 2025. While a physical copy of the game will be available, it will be distributed as a download code on a game card, requiring players to download the full game to their console.

While the exact date isn’t official, pre-orders for AC Shadows on Switch 2 are expected to start by November 7th. The game will likely cost around €50, and some stores may have special deals available.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows takes place in feudal Japan and lets you play as two different characters: Naoe and Yasuke. You’ll experience the story from both of their points of view. Naoe is a clever ninja skilled in stealth, while Yasuke is a powerful samurai known for his strength and combat ability.

I’m really excited about the new DLC for Assassin’s Creed Shadows, called Claws of Awaji! It adds a solid 10 hours of gameplay, and I’m loving the new weapon, skills, and abilities. Basically, Naoe and Yasuke are teaming up for another adventure, this time to find something that’s super important for Japan’s future.
