The Bathhouse Battle stage in Serpent Starway is a testament to the game’s ingenious level design and attention to detail.
The Bathhouse Battle can be located within the Serpent Starway star system, accessible only after Astro Bot players have successfully completed the Slo-Mo Casino stage. To fully conquer it, you’ll need to discover seven Bots, three Puzzle Pieces, and one Lost Galaxy warp, which is particularly elusive.
To complete this task, players of “Astro Bot” should utilize the sponge power-up in the stage. This power-up enables Astro to grow bigger, clean up debris, and put out fires. Extinguishing fires will be crucial when searching for the secret exit in the Bathhouse Battle, as it’s concealed within a flaming chimney.

At the outset of the stage, just before the large water slide, the initial Battle Bot from the Bathhouse is anchored to a rock.
Bathhouse Puzzle Piece #1
A short while after picking up the power-up for sponges, players will notice a circle of saplings on their right side. By spraying these saplings with water, they’ll transform into pink bushes. If you manage to turn all twelve of them into bushes, a Puzzle Piece will materialize in the center of the circle.
Bathhouse Battle Bot #2
To continue on the path, locate the second robot on the stage by wiping off the ink to the left of the enemy that spits ink and is blocking your way.
Bathhouse Battle Bot #3
Shortly following the save of the preceding robot, players will encounter an area featuring a toxic green creature that spits and some bamboo. Upon clearing the way through the bamboo, they’ll notice a bamboo pipe located on their right side. Filling this pipe with water provides access to a hidden zone, where they’ll discover the third Bathhouse Battle Bot in need of rescue.
Bathhouse Puzzle Piece #2
Moving forward, gamers will encounter an adversary spraying ink on a traditional Japanese mural in the upcoming location. Once defeated, clean up the ink to uncover the level’s second Puzzle Piece.
Bathhouse Battle Bot #4
On the other side of the play zone, you’ll discover a budding green sprout. Watering it will trigger an underground structure to rise, revealing the location of the upcoming Bot.
Bathhouse Battle Portal / Secret Exit
Straight after scaling the stack of sponges to depart the previous location, players should replenish their water supply and head left towards the large red tori gate. Once there, they can ascend onto a cherry blossom tree and put out the flames emanating from the adjacent chimney. This action enables them to leap inside, where they’ll discover a Bathhouse Battle warp portal protected by a screw enemy.

Should players choose to move forward after scaling the sponges instead of veering left, they will eventually encounter some platforms that are essential for them to climb in order to access the next zone. On the other hand, if they opt to proceed to the right from this point rather than ascending straight up, they’ll discover the fifth Bathhouse Battle Bot perched on a ledge.
Bathhouse Battle Bot #6
As players enter the region where they see wooden crates filled with sponges, they ought to search for a burning stage to their right side. Upon putting out the fire, they’ll discover a robot modeled after one of the Shibito enemies from the Siren series hiding behind the platform, visibly scared.

The last Bathhouse Battle Puzzle Piece is on top of one of the piles of sponges near where players find the Shibito Bot.
Bathhouse Battle Bot #7
Following the use of the mentioned sponges, players will discover a large red circle adorned with a flaming dog symbol on the floor in the next area. Stepping onto this circle after soaking up some water causes them to drop into a hidden location. In this secret spot, they’ll need to sprinkle water to create a passageway that eventually guides them to an appearance of Bot character inspired by Kutaro from the PS3-exclusive game “Puppeteer”.
