Astro Bot: Spring-Loaded Run Walkthrough (All VIP Bots)

Astro Bot: Spring-Loaded Run Walkthrough (All VIP Bots)

As a seasoned gamer with countless hours clocked in various platforms, I must say, Spring-Loaded Run for Astro Bot is a delightful challenge that caters to both novice and experienced players alike. The DLC stages have always been a fun addition to the game, and this one doesn’t disappoint.

In simpler terms, “Spring-Loaded Run” is the third additional level for the game “Astro Bot” created by Team Asobi. Similar to the preceding speed-running stages in “Astro Bot“, this level includes two special bots that players can save by finishing the course before two colorful birds reach the end.

Navigating ahead of the blue avian’s pace might seem simple, but reaching the final point before the red bird could pose a challenge. Fortunately, the Spring-Loaded Run guide provides an efficient path, along with details about the two Cameo Bots that Astro Bot gamers can acquire.

How to Complete Spring-Loaded Run

To conquer the Spring-Loaded Run stage swiftly, it’s best to skip unnecessary leaps and hang time. Luckily, the frog gloves power-up offers an impressive reach, so try to grab onto the red beams from the ground instead of in mid-air. Additionally, at certain points, you can bypass wooden barrels instead of breaking them, saving a few precious seconds here and there.

Players can initially save a good amount of time by leaping towards the stacked wooden barrels on their right side. Instead of shattering all four, they should deliver a punch to the center of the stacked barrels. This action will cause both top barrels to collapse, revealing a blue bounce pad below. If timed correctly, they can hit the bounce pad while airborne and execute a spin punch to reach the next bounce pad without needing another jump.

Apart from that, the optimal spots to save time are the areas where players climb using the red beams. When they reach the end, if they push back on the control stick, Astro can use his momentum to swiftly change direction and grab onto the next red beam more quickly than usual. If players manage to master this movement technique, they should find no difficulty in unlocking the stage’s two VIP Bots.

Spring-Loaded Run Cameo Bots

Achieving a time better than 55 seconds against the blue bird will unlock the Holy Knight Cameo Bot modeled after Ky Kiske from Guilty Gear. If players can beat the red bird’s time of 70 seconds, they’ll receive another Cameo Bot based on Helldiver from Helldivers 2. Once rescued, these VIP Bots will show up at the Crash Site. Players who have already completed Building Speed won’t find a Gatcha Lab item for Helldiver, but they can acquire the Thunder Blade (or Thunderseal in Guilty Gear) for Ky Kiske.
