Astro Bot Was Second-Best Selling PS5 Game During Launch Week

As a gaming enthusiast with over two decades of experience under my belt, I must say that Astro Bot‘s debut on the PlayStation 5 has truly caught my attention. It’s not every day that a game manages to secure the second spot in sales, especially when it’s going up against NBA 2K25, a franchise that has been ruling the courts for years.

Astro Bot’s release on the PlayStation 5 (PS5) is off to a good start.

On his social media post this Monday, Mat Piscatella from Circana mentioned the launch of the game on September 6th. As per data from Circana, Astro Bot was the second-highest selling PS5 game in the U.S. during the week ending September 7th. The only title that outperformed Astro Bot in sales on the platform was NBA 2K25, which had an early access release on September 4th before a global launch on September 6th.

As a thrilled fan, I can’t help but express my excitement over the fantastic start our favorite game has had! Not only did it have a rock-solid first week, but I was absolutely blown away to learn that the custom Astro Bot DualSense controller was the top-selling accessory during that period. It just goes to show that when quality meets innovation, gamers like me can’t resist!

Currently, there are no disclosed sales figures for the Astro Bot game as of yet. However, it can be played right away, and it’s exclusive to PlayStation 5.
