In the game Atomfall, you’ll find a abundance of treasures to aid your survival in this harsh and unforgiving rendition of the Lake District. Yet, there are certain items within the game that serve no practical purpose, giving players the chance to engage in a hunt for collectibles.

As a dedicated enthusiast, I’m always on the lookout for hidden gems! In Wyndham Village, I’ve heard tales of Gnomes lurking and just waiting to be discovered and ‘smashed’ – in a friendly, collectible sense, of course! But that’s not all! There are Lunchboxes buried deep beneath the earth, scattered across the globe. With my trusty Metal Detector, I’m on a mission to unearth these treasures! Yet, what truly captivates me is the array of comic books hidden around this fascinating place. Each one is a piece of art waiting to be discovered by an attentive eye like mine.

To earn the Avid Collector achievement, you must gather all ten of these comic books. Some can be challenging to locate, but don’t worry, I’ve got your back! Here’s where you can find them all.

Comic #1 – L9 Bunker (Starting Area)

If you approach your journey with an openness to discover small details, the first comic should be relatively simple to locate as it’s situated right past the initial starting point.

Leaving the spot where you assist the Scientist with a bandage (optional), you’ll encounter a rough terrain inhabited by an outlaw. Resolve your encounter with them, and then proceed to the room located on the right side.

Here, you will find your first comic book, Jet Ace Logan: Evil in Orbit.

Comic #2 – Waterwheels

The second comic isn’t very far from the initial bunker. After walking down the slope, you’ll pass by Nat, and then you’ll arrive at the Waterwheels.

From there, you’ll want to enter the building located at the coordinates (27.9E 74.5N).

Stepping indoors, I discovered my upcoming comic, “John Steel: Secret Agent,” neatly propped up against a right-angled ruler on a wooden board – can’t wait to dive in and unravel more of his thrilling adventures!

Comic #3 – Behind The Waterfall

It can be challenging to locate this particular spot, since it’s not indicated on the map and it’s rather discreetly concealed. However, if you’re familiar with the video game conventions, you might know that the most coveted items are often tucked away behind waterfalls.

The waterfall can be found close to the Convoy Wreckage at coordinates (22.9E, 78.3N). Beyond the cascading water, there’s a small camp hidden, and on some wooden pallets within this camp, you will discover the comic book, “Lion Annual 1962.”

Comic #4 – Grendel’s Head Pub

Over the next couple of days, you’ll find my upcoming comics in Wyndham Village. The initial one is situated at the local pub, right at the heart of the village, just beyond the Village Hall.

1. Make your way indoors.

2. Ascend the stairs.

3. Once upstairs, proceed to the restroom.

4. Inside the restroom, enter a stall.

5. The comic you’re looking for – Captain Condor: Mystery on the Moon – Lion Issue 248 – should be on the floor.

Comic #5 – On A Bench

After enjoying a drink at the pub, take a leisurely walk around town to help digest your beverage. If you make your way towards the vicinity of X, you might find a humorous comic that’s available for free.

The exact co-ordinates where you will find Jet Ace Logan: 10 Days To Doom are ()

Comic #6 – Village Outskirts

Once you’re done discovering around the village, make your way to the exit closest to the Mereview Hotel, then proceed towards Casterfell Woods.

In the nearby vicinity, your journey takes you along the edges of the village, where you’ll find several run-down structures to your left.

Delve into this space, and you’ll stumble upon a chamber housing two beds painted green, each bearing a bold red X. Notably, nestled beside these beds, there lies a treasure trove – Captain Condor: Mystery on the Moon – Lion Issue 260, tucked away neatly in a small container.

Comic #7 – Daltow Manor

Heading slightly to your left as you ascend the hill beyond the town’s outlying structures, you’ll find an impressively large mansion with meticulously maintained gardens – quite remarkable considering its location.

Be cautious as this location is full of hidden dangers like tripwires. Proceed carefully towards the manor’s entryway, then step inside once you reach it.

In here, you’ll encounter Prudence Rook chattering away, yet choose to bypass her conversation and make your way up to the second level. There, you’ll come across the comic titled “Rick Random in Sabotage From Space,” conveniently placed on a table close at hand.

Comic #8- Nora’s Barn

On your upcoming journey through the realm of comics, your destination is Skethermoor, a region known for its hostility and governed by protocol. Keep in mind that you may encounter military personnel, so stay vigilant. Also, ensure that your gear is properly prepared for this challenging expedition.

To gain free access to Skethermoor early on in your adventure and simplify exploration, it’s beneficial to assist Captain Sims with a few initial missions, so he will favorably dispose towards you.

There are several routes to reach Skethermoor; you could use the door in Wyndham Village, or explore the Sewer Tunnels. No matter your choice, make sure you’re aiming for Nora’s Barn, located at ().

Upon arrival, tread carefully, for this spot is laced with hidden dangers. However, keeping a vigilant eye, I managed to navigate my way in unscathed.

Approach Nora in a friendly manner to make her comfortable, and afterward, go down the stairs to a close-by desk where you’ll discover ‘John Steel: One False Step’.

Or simply:

Talk to Nora to relax her, then head downstairs to find John Steel at a nearby desk, labeled ‘One False Step’.

Comic #9- The Interchange

Without a doubt, the next two items can be quite challenging to find, which is why you might have sought out this guide. Rest assured, we’ve got you covered here.

1st, it’s essential that you obtain clearance for the Interchange, particularly the Alpha sector, which is reachable through Skethermoor Prison. Therefore, I recommend exploring for this location later in the game when you have advanced enough to access it.

Moreover, completing Mother Jago’s first mission will grant you the recipe for the Mysterious Tonic too.

Once everything is ready for you, make your way to the Alpha sector, move one level lower to reach the offices situated below. You’ll spot the comic book titled “Jet Ace Logan: Planet of Fear” on a green chair there.

Comic #10 – Windscale

Finally, remember that you’ll want to visit Oberon and the Windscale Plant to find the last comic. So, save this task for last, as you can pick it up en route to your destination.

I’m sorry for any confusion, but unfortunately, my map doesn’t show your exact location when you’re at Oberon. However, if you’ve managed to find yourself within the Oberon Dig Site, then you’ve ventured beyond the setting of the comic!

The comic is situated to the right of the primary crater zone, within the tinted blue region contaminated with Thralls and Turrets. To reach it, you’ll have to traverse this part of the facility, then carefully maneuver through a narrow opening in the wall at the very rear of this section.

After completing that task, make a right turn, and you’ll spot the last comic, titled “Rick Random and The Planet of Terror,” amidst the debris near a B.A.R.D. crate.

If you’ve managed to gather all ten comics up until now, that triggers the Avid Collector trophy. Well done!

Or simply:

Gathering all ten comics by now unlocks the Avid Collector trophy. Great job!
