Gnome #10 – The Mereview Hotel
In Atomfall, similar to many other games, you’ll come across several items worth finding during your journey. These could be Lunchboxes hidden beneath the earth or comics that are strewn about the game map.
In contrast, one of the most enjoyable scavenger hunt experiences within the game takes place in the isolated region known as Wyndham Village.
In this location, you’ll spot Garden Gnomes scattered about. If you’re aiming for the Orna-Mental achievement, your task would be to locate a minimum of ten out of the fifteen Gnomes in the area, and then break each one into pieces.
Some are quite noticeable, while others can be a bit elusive compared to others. However, with this guide, you’ll have no trouble finding and eliminating them swiftly.
Instead of hunting for all fifteen Gnomes available, it doesn’t matter if you don’t locate every single one of them since there’s no added advantage. What we will do is guide you on finding ten Gnomes that are spread out in the most unique spots, making them easier to discover.
Gnome #1 – St Katherine’s Church Roof
33.1E, 78.7N
Begin your exploration from the church’s rooftop; it’s unique because accessing its interior is necessary for reaching it, whereas other locations can be explored solely from outside.
To locate this Gnome, make your way into the church, climb the stairway that also leads to the Vicar’s Chest. Upon reaching the top, exit through the door which takes you back outside to Wyndham.
Then, sitting on a ledge on the roof, you’ll see a smug little Gnome that needs to be smashed up.
Beware, there are some bats on top of the church, so have a melee weapon equipped.
Gnome #2 – Village Hall
33.4E, 79.1N
Leaving the church, stroll off its premises towards the heart of the town, and make your way to the structure where Captain Sims usually is. Remember not to enter this building, however.
Instead, veer to the right at the main entrance, and walk along the side of the structure, and there you’ll find a gnome ready to be shattered.
Gnome #3 – Grendel’s Head Pub
32.4E, 79.4N
Once you’ve stopped by the Village Hall, you could then stroll over to a nearby pub. However, instead of popping in for a pint of bitter, consider taking a walk outside the pub instead.
Near the entrance, slightly off to the left, amidst the tables and assorted items, there is a Gnome hidden. Provide it a quick tap, then proceed to the following one.
Gnome #4 – By The Green
34.6E, 80.4N
Since you’ve arrived at the heart of the city, make your way towards the central location marked by the bandstand on the park Green. Then, move eastward towards the surrounding structures and scrutinize the window ledges for any potential clues.
Later, perched on one of the window ledges, you’ll encounter another Gnome eagerly waiting for a good fight.
Avoid venturing into the village’s Protocol Headquarters. If you accidentally wander there, you’ll spot a warning sign about trespassing.
Gnome #5 – Near The Garage
35.1E, 79.6N
If your investigation is centered around the “Hearing Voices” case, you may have dropped by Wyndham Garage to check on Philip. Yet, the garage itself isn’t what we’re focusing on in this context; instead, it’s the region hidden behind it that holds our interest.
By circumnavigating the region at the back of the garage, maintaining your gaze downwards and looking up when you reach some stairs near a shuttered entrance, you’ll discover a gnome that seems to require a firm correction.
Gnome #6 – Top Of The Stream
36.4E, 78.1N
After this, you should make your way towards the southwestern part of the village. If you’re finding it difficult to locate the destination, look for a stream that flows through the town and head upstream (towards the direction where the water originates). This should eventually lead you to your desired location.
Over by the babbling brook, there’s a cozy nook for a quick snack. Perched on one of those wooden tables in this spot, you’ll come across a jovial-looking gnome. Take aim at its grinning visage to instantly turn its cheer into dismay.
Gnome #7 – Along The Stream
35.5E, 80.6N
Next, you’ll want to do a 180, and you’ll want to follow the water downstream.
Follow the flow until you reach a stone bridge that is beside the Soldier’s area in the village.
Later, tucked discreetly beside the bridge, there’s another mischievous little gnome waiting for its face to be gently tapped instead.
Gnome #8 – Beyond The Green
33.0E 81.1N
After following the stream back into town, let me guide you on a leisurely walk. Stroll along the verdant path, moving past the Hardware Store and the inviting aroma of the Bakery. Continue your journey until you reach the structures just north of the town square.
In this location, you can explore narrow side streets, and on a ledge close by, you’ll stumble upon the eighth gnome who appears to be seeking a firm punch.
Gnome #9 – At The Bus Stop
32.4E, 81.8N
As a dedicated fan, I’m doing my best to beat the rush and escape this Gnome before it meets an untimely end at my hands. However, due to the unexpected nuclear incident, the bus service seems to be slightly delayed.
As you move towards the Mereview Hotel, you’ll pass a bus stop located on your right side of the street.
Look underneath the seat on your right, and there you’ll discover a tiny Gnome requiring you to validate their pass.
Gnome #10 – The Mereview Hotel
31.2E, 82.4N
To bag the Orna-Mental achievement, you’ll find our last Gnome hiding in the Mereview Hotel – a prominent structure as you journey towards Casterfell Woods.
Go to the hotel and explore the area on the building’s left side. You’ll notice some common debris there, with a couch being a notable feature. It is on this couch that you will find the last gnome, patiently awaiting you.
Celebrate by hitting the object with a punch, bullet, or tossed grenade since upon the Gnome’s explosion, you’ll receive the trophy and can then focus on The Interchange for another exit from the Quarantine Zone.
