Isn’t it amusing how task-givers often require so much from you? You embark on a risky trek through the ominous Casterfell Woods, battling druids along the way while attempting to navigate their seemingly endless array of traps. Eventually, you arrive at Mother Jago to acquire some rare and peculiar elixir.

Mother Jago’s tonic is an undoubtedly effective method for staying alive amidst infections caused by the contamination found within the isolation area.

As an avid player of Atomfall, gaining access to certain areas is crucial for me to delve into the high-risk subterranean sections, specifically the significant regions within the Interchange that I’m eager to traverse.

In Wyndham, this tonic is equally crucial, serving as part of the bakery’s leadership, where you can assist a concerned wife in caring for her unwell husband.

Instead of providing you with a dozen bottles of it, Mother Jago tells you that she has run out of ingredients and is unsure about how to prepare it.

Despite her momentary lapse, perhaps causing doubts about her skills as an herbalist (for who could possibly forget their secret concoction like grandma?), ultimately it leads to the same outcome: you find yourself embarking on a hunt for ingredients.

Preparing The Rescue

Mother Jago will tell you that the book and the recipe are now with the druids, as they’ve returned them to their primary location within the castle.

The druid base is located in the southwestern corner of Casterfell Woods.

Despite Mother Jago’s assertion that it’s not something worthy of violence, the castle and nearby druid settlements are strictly forbidden territories for outsiders. Since druids are naturally suspicious, getting caught wandering there would immediately provoke their hostility.

Before embarking on this journey, it would be wise to ensure your energy reserves are fully replenished, and then gather healing items and ammunition in abundance.

Adopt a strategy that leans towards surprise attacks, but always stay prepared for potential combat. Since you possess an edge in weaponry against druids, who primarily utilize both ranged and close-combat weapons, your initial equipment gives you a significant advantage.

Infiltrating The Druid Castle

Head towards the castle’s main entrance, as it’s less crowded there compared to the well-guarded northern and southern paths.

Whenever I can, I prefer to blend in using the greenery and druid tents for cover. If I’m ever discovered, my best bet is to make a swift escape. It’s crucial to remember that I’ll likely find myself vastly outmatched if I stand my ground.

If you’re in a hurry to find the recipe, it would be quicker for you to enter the castle through its primary entrance. Alternatively, you could access the castle via the Castle Ruins on the left side of the main gates, but be warned that it can be quite confusing to navigate down there.

As I tread through the crumbling ruins of the ancient castle, a whisper of intrigue catches my ear: the High Priestess guards an Atomic Battery here. With every step, I ponder if this secret power source could add a touch of luster to my gaming journey, considering how much I’ve already explored.

Once you’ve entered through the front door, turn immediately to your left, leading you towards the kitchen. Look for the Castle Key on the countertops; it’s situated near a candle and a decayed pot, which will help you unlock the main part of the building.

In the grand banqueting room, deal with the adversaries surrounding you first, and subsequently, locate the hidden door to the castle’s main section by using the keyhole situated next to the fireplace.

Finding The Recipe And The Book

Upon entering, you’ll encounter a few druids. After dealing with them, proceed towards the door on your right.

At the other end of the table, you’ll notice Mother Jago’s book sitting on a platter amidst candles. While it may tempt you to take it, remember that you’re here to learn the tonic recipe, so try to accomplish both tasks together.

1. The peculiar tonic recipe is found on a counter to the left of the book. Press the button to memorize it, and this finishes off the Hearing Voices quest.

2. The odd tonic recipe can be found on a counter to the left of the book. Push the button to learn it, which then concludes the Hearing Voices quest.

3. The strange tonic recipe is located on a counter to the left of the book. Tap the button to remember it, and that finishes up the Hearing Voices quest.

As I exit the castle, I’m on high alert for those tricky druids who’ve likely resurfaced outside. After all, I don’t want to fall into their traps again!

Mother Jago’s Strange Tonic

Having the tonic’s recipe, you can now safeguard yourself against any unwanted growth that infests the subterranean areas across the entire quarantine region.

Mother Jago’s tonic strengthens your immunity against fungal infections, clears out existing excess growth, and minimizes the harm caused by perils that trigger infections.

The strange tonic recipe requires the following ingredients per unit:

Ingredient Quantity
Spores 4
Chemicals 1
Glass 3
Herbs 5

You’re unlikely to find spores among this list unless you’ve acquired the ability called “Blue Fingers” from the skill tree. However, luckily for you, Mother Jago always has an abundance of spores and they’re quite affordable when it comes to trading goods.

Should you wish, you could even prepare something and offer it to the baker for tasting, aiming to help her husband, within the context of The Bakery endeavor.
