As a die-hard Attack on Titan fan who has followed the series since its inception, I am absolutely thrilled about the upcoming events in 2025! The release of Attack on Titan: The Last Attack and Attack on Titan: Requiem is going to be a dream come true for us fans.
Attack on Titan: The Last Attack will give me another chance to relive the epic finale, while Attack on Titan: Requiem promises an alternate ending to the original material. As someone who has read countless fan theories and debated endlessly with fellow fans about how the series should have ended, I am eagerly looking forward to seeing what Studio Eclypse has in store for us.
I remember when I first started watching Attack on Titan back in 2009, I had no idea that it would become such a massive phenomenon. The series quickly became a cultural phenomenon, and I was hooked from the very first episode. Over the years, I have eagerly awaited each new chapter, and I still can’t believe that the manga has finally come to an end.
But fear not, fellow fans! It seems that our love for Attack on Titan is far from over. With these two upcoming releases, it feels like we are getting a second chance at the series, and I couldn’t be happier about it.
And speaking of happy, let me end this with a little joke: Why don’t Titans ever play hide and seek? Because they always show their true colors! (Get it? Because Titans have no blood?) I know, I know, I’m a nerd. But hey, at least I’m a happy nerd! Bring on 2025, I can’t wait to see what’s in store for Attack on Titan fans!
2025 promises an exciting time for fans of “Attack on Titan,” as it has been officially confirmed that “Attack on Titan: The Last Attack,” a compilation film, is set to hit screens in January 2025. This means fans will get the chance to re-live the finale of their beloved anime once more.
Besides the compilation movie, fans of Attack on Titan should prepare themselves for the debut of a fan production called Attack on Titan: Requiem. The studio behind this project has shared a fresh trailer and announced that Attack On Titan: Requiem will be coming out on January 15, 2025, as confirmed by Studio Eclypse.
Everything We Know About Attack On Titan: Requiem
Attack on Titan: Requiem was developed by Studio Eclypse over a prolonged period, and it offers an alternative conclusion to the initial storyline.
The website for the project describes it as follows:
In simpler terms, AoT no Requiem offers an altered conclusion to the original storyline from Attack on Titan. The narrative is inspired by the “Akatsuki no Requiem” music video and reimagines the final three chapters (137, 138, 139). Unlike the traditional comic book format, this doujinshi is presented as a single, ongoing chapter that’s periodically updated. Its storyline continues from where the events in the first 136 chapters left off within the original source material.
The individuals associated with the project have emphasized that Attack on Titan: Requiem serves as a labor of love for them. Additionally, they encouraged fans to show their appreciation for Hajime Isayama and the entire Attack on Titan series.
The recently shared teaser on Studio Eclypse’s official account (previously Twitter) depicts Eren Yeager and his companions grappling with the fate of mankind. Initially released in a dubbed version, Studio Eclypse guarantees that a Japanese language option will be available at a later time.
Attack on Titan Is One Of The Most Loved Anime Series
Attack on Titan is a manga penned by Hajime Isayama. It started publication in Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine back in September 2009 and ran for an impressive 11 years before concluding in 2021. With over 140 million copies sold, it ranks among the highest-grossing manga titles of all time. However, that number could potentially be closer to 150 million, according to a report from a specific date.
Among a select group of shows, Attack on Titan stands out as it has been handled by multiple production studios. Specifically, Wit Studio took care of the initial season of the anime, whereas MAPPA oversaw the remaining portions.
Attack on Titan is available to stream on Crunchyroll.
