The upcoming anime production titled “Moonrise,” created by Wit Studio (famous for the first three seasons of “Attack on Titan“) and acclaimed author Tow Ubukata, will be globally aired through Netflix’s streaming platform starting April 10. Additionally, Netflix unveiled the main team behind the series, the cast members, some anime stills, and the official theme song, titled “It’s All Right,” performed by Aina the End.
The forthcoming science fiction story will focus on the struggle between Earth and the Moon’s inhabitants, who are striving for self-rule. Not only does the animation come from Wit Studio, but it also features character designs by the creator of “Fullmetal Alchemist,” Hiromu Arakawa.
What We Know About Moonrise So Far
A TItle Previously Slated For 2024 Is Finally Ready

Previously stated, “Moonrise” is a production by Tow Ubukata, under the supervision of Wit Studio. The renowned director Masashi Koizuka from seasons 2 and 3 of “Attack on Titan” will be in charge of directing and scriptwriting for this project. Character designs are crafted by Hiromu Arakawa, known for works such as “Fullmetal Alchemist”, “Legend of Arslan”, and “Silver Spoon”. Ayumi Yamada, who worked on the character designs for “Attack on Titan”, will be adapting these designs for animation. Ryo Kawasaki is responsible for composing the music. Originally slated for broadcast in 2024, the release has been delayed due to unspecified reasons. However, it was recently announced that “Moonrise” will premiere on April 10, and a number of new staff members have also been added to the team.
