August 5 is Suddenly a Very Exciting Day for Halo Fans

Fans of Halo Infinite should keep their eyes peeled on August 5, as Halo Studios has shared all the details about the upcoming Operation: Shadows update. With the launch date fast approaching, the developer has announced that a beloved vehicle from past games will make its comeback in Halo Infinite.

It’s clear that Halo Infinite has made significant progress since its rocky debut towards the end of 2021. Initially, it lacked essential Halo elements like co-op campaign and Forge mode, which didn’t sit well with the gaming community. However, with over three years of updates for Halo Infinite, the game has transformed into a fantastic experience. It continues to receive support from Halo Studios (previously known as 343 Industries), ensuring its continued success.

As a thrilled Halo enthusiast, I couldn’t help but share the exciting revelations from Halo Waypoint by Halo Studios about Operation: Shadows, due on August 5th. This long-awaited update is set to reintroduce the iconic Falcon aerial vehicle, initially seen in Halo Reach, and absent since then. The Falcon will make its comeback across various existing Big Team Battle maps.

In addition, a fresh weapon for Halo Infinite has been announced: the Vestige Carbine, designed for use in an innovative asymmetrical Slayer variant named Banished Slayer. Lastly, there’s a new Operation Pass for Halo Infinite Operations, as is customary with each update.

Halo Reach’s Falcon Returns to Halo Infinite on August 5

Apart from what has been mentioned, ten more weapons are set to be incorporated into the Weapons Bench starting August 5, such as the Plasma Pistol, Gravity Hammer, and Stalker Rifle, providing further customization options. Furthermore, some significant alterations will take place in various game modes of Halo Infinite. For instance, Firefight matches will now allow players to toggle between first-person and third-person perspectives without the need for separate queues. Additionally, there will be a few minor enhancements made to S&D Extraction, aiming at refining the experience in Halo Infinite‘s game mode that resembles Counter-Strike.

In the course of their blog update, Halo Studios gave a sneak peek into what’s coming up for Halo Infinite. The action begins with Operation: Warpath on September 9, followed by Operation: Haloween on October 7. Past this, speculation is rife about future plans from the studio. Some anticipate a possible remake of Halo: Combat Evolved, although no formal announcement has been made yet in this regard.
