Announced in October 2022, Silent Hill f marks the newest installment in the enduring franchise, set in the fictional Japanese town of Ebisugaoka during the 1960s. The game centers around Hinako Shimizu, a high school student, as she struggles to survive amidst terrifying creatures emerging from an enigmatic fog that has overtaken her town. Konami explained that choosing Japan as the setting for Silent Hill f was aimed at re-emphasizing the series’ Japanese origins, since previously it had been based in Maine.
