Back in November 2024, I was part of the exclusive group of Game Pass Ultimate subscribers who got early access to the Stream Your Own Games service through the Xbox Insiders program. Fast forward to December 2024, Microsoft opened this feature up for Alpha and Alpha Skip-Ahead branch members on both Xbox One and Series X|S consoles. After several months of testing, on April 16, 2025, Microsoft made this fantastic service available to all Game Pass Ultimate subscribers, no longer keeping it in the testing phase exclusively for Insiders.

The Taiko no Tatsujin series, which includes rhythm-based games, has been popular since the early 2000s and has been released on multiple platforms over the years. Among these releases, The Drum Master was unique as it was an exclusive for Xbox. It made its debut on January 27, 2022, and was accessible via Xbox Game Pass. As the title suggests, Taiko no Tatsujin: The Drum Master centers around playing the taiko drum, with players challenged to maintain rhythm across more than 70 songs. While gamers who enjoy this series have generally appreciated the gameplay, unfortunately, it was taken off Xbox Game Pass in 2023.
