As an eager fan, I’m excited to share that “Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment” appears to be the prelude to the highly anticipated “The Legends of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.” The enticing trailer offers a sneak peek into the gameplay and narrative elements of this upcoming masterpiece. We got a glimpse of intense combat, featuring an array of characters wielding various weapons like spears, swords, and more, all while unleashing potent magic. “Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment” is expected to drop this Winter, promising an immersive adventure that bridges the gap between the past and the future of Hyrule.

The news arrived through the Nintendo Direct, a one-hour broadcast primarily centered around details about the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2.

In the expansive world of Mario Kart, players find themselves navigating vibrant race tracks spanning diverse landscapes like dusty towns, volcanic castles, and lush jungles. The latest trailer for Mario Kart showcases iconic Nintendo characters performing tricks on rails, racing up walls, employing power-ups, and discovering hidden shortcuts to outmaneuver opponents. First hinted during the January 16 unveiling of the Nintendo Switch 2, “Mario Kart World” is set to be the next installment in the blockbuster “Mario Kart” series. The latest version, “Mario Kart 8 Deluxe,” holds the top spot among the best-selling games for the Nintendo Switch, and fans are eagerly anticipating another major release within one of the company’s most iconic franchises.

VRR essentially matches the game’s frame rate with the screen’s refresh rate, reducing screen tearing and stabilizing frame fluctuations for a smoother gaming experience with minimal stuttering. This feature can be particularly beneficial for games that have unpredictable framerates. The PS5 implemented VRR support in April 2022, which was appreciated by many gamers. However, since the release of the PS5 Pro towards the end of last year, some PS5 users have reported a peculiar stutter occurring every eight seconds when VRR is activated.

In contrast to the usual portrayal of Anna Taylor-Joy’s character in various Super Mario video games where she is typically the damsel in distress, her role in this instance was that of a self-assured leader who didn’t hesitate to take charge. This departure from tradition was commendable, but there were aspects of her character that could benefit from more exploration to match the depth of Mario’s character. A crucial element of her backstory remained undisclosed.

But just because we loved these games back then doesn’t mean they’ve aged well today.

For over several decades, “The Simpsons” franchise has been a lucrative venture, giving birth to various spin-offs, merchandise, and video games among other things. The cartoon series has made appearances in numerous video games, ranging from 2D fighting games to 3D open-world adventures, with “The Simpsons Hit and Run” being one of the most memorable endeavors so far. Additionally, “The Simpsons” made its way onto smartphones through a mobile game called “Tapped Out”, allowing fans to construct their own version of Springfield. Unfortunately, this game was discontinued in January, but there might be an opportunity for enthusiasts to reclaim their town and keep playing.

Originating from Green Lava Studios and debuted on April Fool’s Day in 2016, the game titled “My Name is Mayo” was known for its effortlessly achievable Platinum Trophies on the PS4. The gameplay of “My Name is Mayo” is incredibly straightforward, primarily involving multiple clicks on a mayonnaise jar that gradually unlocks trophies. It takes approximately an hour to secure the Platinum Trophy and it’s quite affordable, which contributed to its popularity upon release, sparking a wave of other clicker-style games with similar concepts.

First released in 2016, the groundbreaking Korean zombie movie “Train to Busan,” directed by Yeon Sang-ho, was a global sensation and garnered critical acclaim for its fresh perspective on an aged genre. Not only did it perform exceptionally well within its native markets, but it also proved successful in territories such as the US and Canada. In 2021, news broke about an American remake of the Korean action-horror film, titled “The Last Train to New York,” with James Wan producing and Warner Bros. handling distribution. Initially slated for release in April 2023, the film was later removed from the schedule in 2022, leaving fans in limbo about its future. However, recently, Timo Tjahjanto, the filmmaker assigned to the project, provided an update on the remake, but the information may not be encouraging.
