In the HBO adaptation of Harry Potter, roles for key characters such as Albus Dumbledore, Severus Snape, and Rubeus Hagrid have been filled, while the makers have now selected three actors to portray the main character and his two closest friends. The role of Hermione Granger, a highly intelligent witch, will be taken by Arabella Stanton. Ronald Weasley, who excels at wizard’s chess and is Harry’s red-haired best friend, will be played by Alastair Stout. The part of the Chosen One, Harry Potter, will be assumed by Dominic McLaughlin, who will wear glasses with a lightning bolt on his forehead. These young actors have big roles to live up to, as they follow in the footsteps of Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Emma Watson, who set high standards. The producers are confident that they’ve found a talented trio, but there is still a long journey ahead to recreate characters that new and old fans can cherish once more.
