In January, SAG-AFTRA entered into an agreement with AI company Replica Studios to create artificial replicas of famous actor voices, leading to strong opposition from those worried about potential misuse of this technology. The debate eventually culminated in SAG-AFTRA announcing a strike against the publishers in July, after national executive director and chief negotiator Duncan Crabtree-Ireland forecasted that it was imminent several months prior.

Titus Welliver’s public statement about Amazon cancelling “Bosch: Legacy” has given a significant push to the campaign to save the show since it started in September 2024. Not only is he voicing his opinion, but he’s also signed the petition, which is crucial for any campaign aiming to save a series. The fact that the lead actor of Bosch is now involved with the “Save Bosch: Legacy” movement makes it stronger. It seems that Amazon’s “Money Truck” doesn’t ensure complete silence in such situations. We’ll see how Amazon’s PR team handles this situation.

For instance, Tears of the Kingdom revived Ocarina of Time‘s Sage of Light, Rauru, but he is not the only Ocarina of Time sage who could benefit from a rebirth.
