It’s a difficult choice, though, because the maps in Battlefield 6 are generally very good. Mirak Valley is perfect for tanks, and Siege of Cairo is great for infantry, but Contaminated is particularly impressive thanks to its well-designed environmental dangers – much better than the oil fires on Blackwell Fields. Ultimately, Contaminated is a better all-around map, excelling in its layout, pacing, how enjoyable it is to play, and its overall look and feel.

Although the game’s concept might seem unusual, its successful launch indicates a lot of people were eagerly waiting for it – both longtime fans of the developer and new players interested in its complex gameplay. Previously, Hades 2, created by Supergiant Games, had set a record for the most players simultaneously playing a roguelike game on Steam. Building on the success of the first Hades, it created a lot of excitement when it entered early access and then officially launched, reaching a peak of around 112,947 concurrent players. This number was considered exceptionally high for the genre.
