However, the main focus of the premiere was the strained bond between Ellie and Joel, illustrating how much they have changed since their earlier days. As the episodes progress, further challenges are expected for the duo as heart-wrenching events occur. Beneath the show’s gloomy façade, however, one uplifting moment can be appreciated.
