The second trailer confirmed Chris Hemsworth’s return as Thor and depicted him adjusting to fatherhood while emotionally praying to Odin for strength and guidance in the battles to come, hoping to return to his family.

The latest trailer, featuring Patrick Stewart as Professor X, depicts a ruined Xavier’s School alongside Ian McKellan’s Magneto. It concludes with James Marsden’s Cyclops unleashing an optic blast while clearly distressed. These trailers effectively build tension by highlighting the heroes’ emotional turmoil as a major threat approaches.

The new trailer really got to me, especially seeing Shuri struggle with everything. Despite feeling isolated, Shuri isn’t actually alone. The scene shows her walking with King M’Baku and the Dora Milaje, highlighting her continued connection to Wakanda. She also mentions having responsibilities that will lead her to forge new partnerships and take her away from home.

He gives a more relaxed introduction, saying he’s “Ben, uh Yancy Street, between Broome and Grande.” This down-to-earth introduction emphasizes his working-class background and how out of place he feels. Because his story in Fantastic Four: First Steps happens in a different universe, his team-up with Shuri from the main Marvel Cinematic Universe suggests he’s lost and far from home, beyond just the distance between Wakanda and New York.

Ben’s appearance signals a change in tone for Avengers: Doomsday, suggesting the film won’t be entirely bleak despite exploring the heroes’ difficult paths.
