Avowed – All 5 Ancient Memory Locations

In the game Avowed, you assume the role of a God-like character, endowing you with unique abilities that other characters don’t possess. This unique position comes with certain gameplay considerations, such as the discovery of Ancient Memories scattered throughout Avowed. These memories not only offer insights into the world’s history but also unlock potent passive abilities. In total, there are five Ancient Memories, one in each major region of Avowed. The locations for each region’s Ancient Memory are provided sequentially as you progress through the story, making it easier to follow your journey. Keep in mind, this guide may include minor spoilers.

Dawnshore Ancient Memory location

The first ancient memory, specifically linked to a side mission named “The Call of the Past,” guides you to uncover it. To locate the Dawnshore Ancient Memory, navigate towards Watcher’s Mirror situated in the northeastern region known as The Rise. Upon reaching Watcher’s Mirror, proceed eastwards until you spot a damaged bridge. Over this bridge, floating in mid-air, is where you’ll find the ancient memory.

Following a review of your memory, you’ll receive the Passive Remembrance of Kishamal, boosting your maximum health by 10%.

Emerald Stair Ancient Memory location

In the region known as The Wildwoods, which lies west of Fior mes Ivérno, and beyond the river when traveling that way, stands the towering Ranger Outpost, embedded within a colossal tree. This is where The Ancient Memory resides. To find it, simply ascend the stairs and ladders inside the outpost until you reach its peak.

This awards the Remembrance of Enhekala, which increases your maximum essence by 10%.

Shatterscarp Ancient Memory location

In the southeastern region of Shatterscarp, nestled within the expansive Great Sand Sea, lies an ancient memory known as Shatterscarp’s Shattered Memory. Here, you will discover the impressive Twin Offerings Overlook, a towering rock formation. To reach the summit, follow a clear path marked by climbable ledges and jump points. The route is exposed, guiding you all the way to the top. This region teems with Xaurips, among them the sought-after target, Xaurip Chief Grithin.

This awards the Remembrance of Nimanna, which increases your maximum stamina by 10%.

Galawain’s Tusks Ancient Memory location

In my adventure, I stumbled upon Galawain’s Tusks’ Ancient Memory nestled within the tranquil Slumbering Fields, located in the southwestern corner of the realm. To reach it, I followed the river all the way to its end and braved a swim through its murky depths. Upon entering this zone, I found myself taking damage from the tainted waters. The area was bustling with NPC characters who offered me the Boundaries of Antiquity side quest. By completing this quest, I managed to eliminate the source of the poison, thereby making the water safe for future swimmers like myself.

This awards you with the Remembrance of Maru passive, which increases your attack damage by 10%.

The Garden Ancient Memory location

In the vicinity of the Broken Aqueduct lies an old remnant of The Garden, referred to as its Ancient Memory. At ground level in this spot, you’ll notice a building slightly off to one side with a door. Inside that door, you’ll discover the concluding Ancient Memory waiting for collection.

Note: This area is situated beyond where the main storyline can be altered or reverted.

This grants the Sapadal’s Recall, offering continuous health restoration when your health drops below 50%.

Or, more colloquially:

This gives you the Sapadal’s Remember Me ability, which automatically heals you whenever your health dips below half.
