Okay, so in Hytale, Azure Kelp is super important if you want to build a Teleporter. It’s not crazy rare, but you won’t just find it lying around everywhere. I’ve been trying to get some myself, and I figured I’d share where I’ve been looking. This guide will help you find Azure Kelp in Hytale, so you can start building those teleporters too!
This guide was created when Hytale first launched in early access, so some information may become outdated as the game evolves.
Azure Kelp Locations in Hytale
Azure Forests
If you’re looking for Azure Kelp, keep an eye out for azure forests. These show up as blue-green areas on the map. The image above will help you spot them, and you should be able to find several near where you start the game.
Once you reach the blue forest, look for the pools of water inside. You’ll often see purple and white flowers floating on the surface – these are Azure Kelp. Simply approach the flowers and press the interact button when prompted to collect them. You’ll gather a good amount of kelp quickly.
In the blue forests, players can find Azure Logs by chopping down the trees. It’s a good idea to gather some while you’re exploring!
What to Do With Azure Kelp in Hytale
Teleporters
Players can craft Teleporters using an Arcanist’s Workbench with two Azure Kelp, eight Azure Logs, and ten Stones. To make the Arcanist’s Workbench itself, follow these steps:
- Create a standard Workbench through the Pocket Crafting menu that is accessed by pressing Tab and clicking on the hammer to the right of the character portrait.
- Upgrade the Workbench to Tier 2. This upgrade requires 30 Copper Ingots, 20 Iron Ingots, and 20 Linen Scraps, and it is performed by accessing the Workbench and clicking “Upgrade” on the right side of the screen.
- Use the Workbench to craft an Arcanist’s Workbench. This requires 10 Thorium Ingots, 30 Linen Scraps, and 20 Essence of the Void.
If you can’t craft Teleporters at the Arcanist’s Workbench, you might need to gather more memories at the Forgotten Temple.
Once you’ve built some Teleporters, you can place them around the game world. When you place each one, be sure to give it a clear name and link it to another Teleporter. This creates a fast travel system, making it much easier to get around, so it’s a good idea to set one up early in the game.
