The captivating game frequently gets likened to the highly-acclaimed Slay the Spire by Mega Crit, a title that is eagerly awaiting its sequel this year. Balatro shares similarities with Slay the Spire in terms of deck-building mechanics and has also collaborated with some unexpected yet delightful intellectual properties such as Stardew Valley, Cyberpunk 2077, and The Witcher 3.

Some users claim that Balatro might be an Xbox Play Anywhere game since it appears as “owned” in their libraries, despite only possessing the console edition. However, it’s important to note that this hasn’t been officially confirmed yet, and the deckbuilder doesn’t display the Xbox Play Anywhere label. For those unaware, Xbox Play Anywhere is a program initiated by Microsoft in 2016, which aims to let owners of specific digital games play them on either console or PC without having to buy the game twice. As of now, around 440 Xbox titles carry this label.

As a devoted Xbox Game Pass subscriber, I’ve got to say that February was a fantastic month for us gamers! Kicking off the month was the action-packed adventure of Far Cry New Dawn on the 4th. On the 18th, we were treated to Avowed, a brand new title. And just when I thought it couldn’t get any better, Watch Dogs: Legion joined the Game Pass family on the 26th! To top it all off, three games that originally belonged to the Ultimate tier – Starfield, Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes, and Another Crab’s Treasure – moved down to the Standard tier on February 5. Now, every subscriber can get in on the fun!
