As a long-time fan of Baldur’s Gate and Larian Studios, I am thrilled to hear that there are more updates coming for Baldur’s Gate 3 beyond Patch 7. The addition of dynamic split screen mode, new cinematics for evil endings, and the modding toolkit in Patch 7 were already exciting enough, but the announcement of crossplay and a photo mode in future patches is the cherry on top.

Larian Studios announced on Steam their upcoming modifications for Baldur’s Gate 3 in Patch 7, and revealed that the Closed Beta will begin on July 22, 2024.

As an excited fan, I’m thrilled to share that in the upcoming Patch 7, I’ll get to experience a dynamic split screen mode that adapts to the gameplay. Plus, there are several new cinematics crafted specifically for the evil endings. Not only that, but there are numerous fixes to enhance the overall gaming experience. And let me tell you, the long-awaited modding toolkit is finally here!

I’m thrilled to share that Larian Studios initially announced the arrival of Patch 7 in September 2024. The Closed Beta, an exciting prelude to the full patch, was supposed to drop this very month. Although we don’t have a definitive release date for Patch 7 just yet, the Closed Beta has indeed made its appearance according to plan.

Sign-ups are being accepted for the exclusive Beta testing phase. Some lucky applicants will be granted entry to try out the game.
