As a devoted Battlefield 2042 player, I’m thrilled to share that we now have a faster way to unlock rewards from the ‘Road to Battlefield 6’ Battle Pass, thanks to a recent update! Now, players can opt for tier skips, allowing us to progress through the Battle Pass more swiftly. Although the Battle Pass is complimentary for all Battlefield 2042 owners, the initial controversy surrounding its speed of progression has been addressed with this addition-the second adjustment made by EA to expedite our gameplay experience.
Despite facing challenges upon its release in 2021, EA and DICE’s game Battlefield 2042 is drawing gamers back once more, all geared up for the upcoming launch of Battlefield 6 in October. To lure players back to Battlefield 2042, EA has introduced a fresh Battle Pass offering rewards linked to Battlefield 6. This new pass came out together with an unexpected update for Battlefield 2042 in August, which timed perfectly with the conclusion of the Battlefield 6 open beta.
Battlefield 2042 Update Adds Tier Skips for BF6 Battle Pass
The newly introduced Battle Pass for Battlefield 2042 offers a total of 30 unique rewards for what is known as Battlefield 6, but some players found it difficult to advance through the pass at an acceptable pace. To address this concern, EA has increased the frequency of Double and Triple XP weekends in Battlefield 2042. In an effort to further simplify progression, the developers have disclosed that a forthcoming update (scheduled for today) will give players the option to purchase tier skips within the Battlefield 6 Pass.
As a dedicated gamer, I’m excited about the upcoming 9.2.1 update for Battlefield 2042 on my PlayStation, Xbox, and PC. Though it seems to be mainly focused on fixing bugs, there’s an interesting twist – the tier skip functionality is now live for the Road to Battlefield 6 Battle Pass. This controversial move has sparked a debate within our gaming community, with some players feeling it’s unfair towards those who have been grinding diligently over the past few weeks to earn rewards legitimately. On the other hand, others believe EA should have activated this feature weeks ago.

As excitement builds for EA and DICE’s anticipated release of Battlefield 6 this year, fans are revisiting the previous installment in the series, eagerly awaiting October 10. Despite the initial controversy that surrounded the 2021 version of Battlefield at launch, it seems to be experiencing a significant revival now, as the player count for Battlefield 2042 has recently outnumbered that of Call of Duty on Steam. The two franchises are preparing for their first face-off in four years, with Black Ops 7 set to debut on November 14, only five weeks following Battlefield 6. Given the fervor surrounding the upcoming Battlefield game, this could turn out to be a banner year for EA and DICE.
