Electronic Arts reports that its Javelin anti-cheat system has successfully blocked 2.4 million cheating attempts in Battlefield 6 since the game launched on October 10th. The company also states that 98% of matches in the week following launch were played fairly, without being affected by cheaters.
Javelin is still very new, and Electronic Arts is committed to fighting cheaters in a continuous, ongoing process. They have multiple plans in place to address and punish those who violate the game’s rules.
Battlefield 6’s Anti-Cheat is Making Waves
As a Battlefield fan, I was really impressed to hear how seriously EA is taking cheating! They shared that their Javelin anti-cheat system has already blocked a massive 2.4 million attempts to cheat in Battlefield 6. And get this – during just the open beta, they shut down 1.2 million cheat attempts! It’s awesome to see them working so hard to keep the game fair for everyone.
People just won’t give up.
The team wrote:
We currently know about 190 different cheating programs, devices, companies, and related online communities. Since they were first released, 183 of these (96.3%) have either stopped working correctly, been detected by our systems, experienced outages, or have been completely shut down.
Electronic Arts is building on this impressive success with several new plans and projects.
- Explore Additional OS Security Features
- Enforce Against Cheating Hardware
- Improving Reporting Flows
- Improving Internal Operations Tools
- ‘Classified’
That last detail is confirmed by the official document. We’re deliberately keeping some information secret to prevent those who create cheating devices from knowing our future plans.
Our team is constantly developing and releasing new anti-cheat measures across all parts of our system – including Javelin, the game itself, and our servers. We’re working as quickly as possible to get these updates live, but we’re holding back details for now to avoid giving cheaters a chance to bypass them and spoil the game for everyone.
