The official map and key locations for the new Battlefield 6 Battle Royale mode, called Battlefield REDSEC, are now available. With fans starting to play Battlefield REDSEC as part of Battlefield 6’s Season 1 update, EA has revealed the complete map, Fort Lyndon, which is set in a made-up area of Southern California. Players can explore twenty distinct locations, or points of interest, throughout the map.
The popular Battlefield series made a triumphant return on October 10th with Battlefield 6. The game quickly became a hit, attracting over 747,000 players on Steam at the same time and selling more than 7 million copies within its first three days, as reported by EA. Now, just under three weeks after launch, Battlefield 6 is expanding into the Battle Royale scene with a new, free-to-play game called Battlefield REDSEC.
Battlefield REDSEC Map and All POIs
With Season 1 of Battlefield 6 and Battlefield REDSEC now available, EA and DICE have revealed the complete map for Fort Lyndon, the game’s Battle Royale location. DICE says it’s the largest map in Battlefield history, offering twenty distinct areas to explore. Set in a fictional Southern California, Fort Lyndon features diverse environments, including industrial ruins, cityscapes, and a large coastline. This variety should keep players entertained as they compete for their first victory.
One of the biggest features that will make Battlefield REDSEC stand out from games like Call of Duty: Warzone and Apex Legends is its dangerous storm. While many battle royale games have shrinking circles that damage players, REDSEC‘s storm is much more lethal. Throughout a 100-player match, fire will spread across the map, instantly destroying anything it touches and eliminating players who enter it. This adds a new twist to the genre, as players often use the shrinking circle to move around the map, but in REDSEC, that strategy will be far more risky.
Fans excited about the new Battlefield 6 Battle Royale mode can now download Battlefield REDSEC for free on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. Your progress in REDSEC will connect to Battlefield 6, and if you already own Battlefield 6, you can use all your existing weapons and customization items in REDSEC.
