Battlefield 6‘s progression system is very similar to the last game. You’ll still earn experience to unlock weapons, and good news β the strategies that worked in previous Battlefield games will work here too.
Okay, so in Battlefield 6, you basically get XP for everything you do, which is cool. But if you really want to level up quickly, you’ve gotta go the extra mile. I’ve been trying out a bunch of things, and here are some tips I’ve found that really help you rack up XP while playing multiplayer.
How to Get XP Fast in Battlefield 6
Simply getting kills and assists won’t maximize your leveling speed, and if you want to earn a lot of XP in a BF6 match, you really need to focus on playing your chosen class effectively. While anyone can get kills and capture objectives, to earn even more XP, here’s what you should do depending on the class you’re using:
- Assault players should attack objectives constantly and score as many kills as possible.
- Support players should always put down health/ammo packs and revive teammates.
- Engineers can earn a ton of points by repairing friendly vehicles and damaging or destroying enemy armor.
- Recon players will get plenty of XP just by spotting enemies.
Okay, so in this game, you earn things called Accolades by doing stuff during matches β like completing specific challenges or pulling off awesome combat moves, such as getting double kills or long-range shots. You’ll see these pop up near where you see the score updates, right by your crosshair. They’re kind of like the Ribbons from older games, but way more flexible β there’s a ton of different ways to get them. And the best part? The more Accolades you rack up during a match, the more bonus XP you get!
Best Way to Get XP
Just like in other Battlefield games, playing the Support role is the quickest way to gain levels in Battlefield 6. You’ll earn a good amount of experience by reviving teammates β almost half as much as you’d get from eliminating an enemy. If you stick with a group of teammates engaged in intense combat, you can constantly earn experience by keeping them alive and supplied with ammo. Focus on placing ammo packs, reviving fallen allies, and protecting the team’s sides to maximize your XP gain.
You also earn points for Suppression Assists. This happens when you fire towards enemies, and your teammates then eliminate them while you’re keeping the enemy pinned down.
In Battlefield 6, the Breakthrough game mode is the fastest way to earn experience points. This is because players often converge in narrow, predictable areas, creating frequent combat. Maps like Manhattan Bridge and Siege of Cairo are particularly effective for leveling up the Support class, as they encourage direct confrontations.
If you’re a Support player tired of simply running around resuscitating teammates, consider switching to Recon and using the Recon Drone. You can easily rack up over 100 assists in a single match by focusing on providing intel and support with the drone.
Casual Breakthrough
This game mode combines human players with AI-controlled bots. Each team has only eight real players, with bots filling the remaining spots. While these casual Breakthrough matches are generally more relaxed than standard Battlefield 6 games, you’ll earn only half the usual experience points for defeating bots.
While the Casual Breakthrough playlist might not be the quickest way to gain levels in BF6, it offers a more laid-back experience. It’s perfect for getting warmed up, honing your skills, unlocking weapons, and finishing challenges.
Gauntlet
Okay, so Gauntlet mode isn’t exactly what I expected from a traditional Battlefield experience, but honestly, it’s a really good way to farm XP! If you can actually make it all the way to the final round, you’re looking at around 30,000 Career XP, which is awesome. And it takes about 20 minutes β pretty much the same amount of time as a solid Escalation match.
Leveling with Portal in Battlefield 6
So, it’s a bummer, but Battlefield Studios really cracked down on bots in Portal. We can’t make those super fun solo bot lobbies anymore, and even when playing with others, there’s way fewer bots allowed on servers than when the game first came out. A few of us figured out some workarounds, but the devs are already fixing those, so they probably won’t last long.
You should still be able to earn XP as usual if you play in official, verified Portal game modes.
How to Level Up The Battle Pass Fast in Battlefield 6
The Battle Pass in BF6 functions similarly to the one in BF2042. You unlock items by collecting 10 Battle Pass Points, which you earn by either:
- Earn enough XP by playing matches
- Complete challenges
The quickest way to progress through the Battlefield 6 Battle Pass is by finishing the weekly challenges. If you’re not happy with the challenges you’ve been given, you can re-roll them up to five times. Don’t hesitate to re-roll if a challenge seems too difficult or forces you to play a game mode you don’t enjoy β you might get a simpler one. Good news: you can also complete these challenges in the Casual Breakthrough mode.
