Battlefield 6’s creators have announced that bots will be returning to the game’s Verified Experiences.
Since its release, the team behind Battlefield 6 has been working to improve the game’s bot system in all modes. Recently, a producer detailed how the bots function, what’s needed for them to operate effectively, and how they can improve gameplay. Now, a new update confirms that bots will be back for players to interact with.
Battlefield 6 Bots Will Grant Reduced XP and Each Game Mode Supports 12 of Them
Battlefield 6 is bringing bots back to its Verified Experiences, according to a recent announcement on the official BattlefieldComms X (formerly Twitter) account. Bots were temporarily removed last month to improve matchmaking in Community Servers and Portal Experiences, but are now being added back to the Conquest, Breakthrough, and Rush game modes.

This post details how many bots can play in each game mode: up to 12. With bot backfill turned on, a match needs 8 players to begin, and each team can be filled with up to 6 bots. If backfill is off, you’ll need a full 20 players to start a match.
So, I’ve been following the news about Battlefield 6, and it sounds like they’re tweaking how XP works when you play with bots. Basically, bots will give you less XP than playing against other people, but your XP won’t be affected – you’ll still earn 100% like you do in regular multiplayer. They’re also saying that things like your kill/death ratio, playtime, and revives won’t change at all when bots are in the game. Apparently, the stats system is a bit wonky right now and they’re working on fixing it, but the good news is you’ll still be able to complete challenges! It’s good to know they’re addressing this and keeping the core gameplay loop intact.
Battlefield 6 players are modifying the game’s files to disable the aim assist feature, which some consider to be too strong. The game has also reached a milestone, selling over 10 million copies on all platforms.
