The eagerly awaited new installment in the renowned Battlefield series, Battlefield 6, has officially revealed its four game modes and maps that players can experience during the upcoming open beta test. With excitement running high, fans are eager to jump back into the action on their PCs or current-generation gaming consoles with this fresh addition to the Battlefield franchise.
Instead of what other games in the series offer, Battlefield 6 retains and expands on four classic classes: Recon, Assault, Engineer, and Support. It’s returning to 64-player matches and offering a single-player story mode where players join an elite marine unit, fighting battles across the globe. Additionally, Battlefield 6 includes an updated version of Portal, a popular toolset for creating custom experiences that players can share with others. Players eagerly anticipate Battlefield 6, having caught a sneak peek during the testing phase.
Battlefield 6 Provides Information on Maps and Modes That Will Be Available in the Open Beta
In the recent disclosure about Battlefield 6, it’s been made clear that the open beta will encompass several game modes including Conquest, Breakthrough, Squad Deathmatch, and Domination, as well as maps such as Liberation Peak, Empire State, Siege of Cairo, and Iberian Offensive. In the Battlefield style of play, Conquest involves players battling on expansive maps to seize control points, with victory achieved either by depleting your opponents’ reinforcements or possessing more tickets than them. Breakthrough is divided into sectors, where attackers aim to capture areas while defenders strive to prevent this, making it a more strategic and dynamic mode compared to Squad Deathmatch, another conventional shooter experience where the first team to reach a kill score emerges victorious. Domination, on the other hand, is considered a smaller and faster adaptation of Conquest.

In the game map for Battlefield 6, players are whisked away to the heart of Egypt – Cairo. Here, they’ll experience intense urban warfare with both tanks and infantry. Shifting gears to the United States, the multiplayer trial of Battlefield 6 showcases the Empire State map, a battleground exclusive to infantry. The Liberation Peak battle takes players to the mountainous terrain of Tajikistan, where they’ll find themselves using both tanks and infantry. To secure an edge in the Iberian Offensive, players will primarily rely on heavily armed infantry and tanks for their combat operations.

The early access for the open beta of Battlefield 6 is scheduled for August 7-8, followed by two weeks of gameplay on August 9-10 (first week) and August 14-17 (second week). To join the beta, players should use keys obtained during registration at Battlefield Labs or during the multiplayer reveal event on Twitch. Participants in this testing phase will receive several unique rewards such as the Seeker and All-Terrain soldier skins.
