Recent data discovered within Battlefield 6 suggests the long-awaited Battle Royale mode is scheduled to release on October 28, 2025. Code found online points to a game mode internally called “Granite,” which Insidier Gaming has confirmed is indeed the Battle Royale mode.
So, ModernWarzone leaked the release date for this new mode a while back, saying it would drop on October 28th. Today, he checked the game files themselves and found code that totally backs up what he said originally. It looks like his info was spot on!
He later tweeted the code, which shows that “Granite” – the working title for the Battlefield 6 Battle Royale mode – is planned to launch with Season 1 on October 28th.
Things can always change, but ModernWarzone seems very confident – particularly recently – that this information is accurate. While TopMob hasn’t been able to confirm it themselves, it increasingly looks like a surprise release of this game mode is coming soon.
Battlefield 6 Battle Royale Free to Play
I remember back in February 2024, TopMob was the first to report on a Battle Royale mode for the next Battlefield! They said it was planned to be free-to-play, which was awesome news. As of today, though, Battlefield Studios has only confirmed the mode is happening – they haven’t given us a release date or said for sure if it will actually be free.
That said, we likely don’t have long to wait before hearing more.
