The producer leading the development of Battlefield 6 has promised fans that the game’s servers will be prepared for launch. While the previous Battlefield game didn’t quite meet player expectations, anticipation for the new release is incredibly high. The development team is working hard to make sure the servers can handle the large number of players expected to join at launch.
Electronic Arts is hoping to make a strong comeback after the disappointing launch of *Battlefield 2042*, and early signs are positive with the upcoming *Battlefield* game. The game, currently referred to as *Battlefield 6*, will be released on October 10th, and will launch simultaneously worldwide. While this could lead to a lot of players trying to connect at once, developers say they’re working to minimize any potential wait times.
Battlefield 6 Lead Producer Says Servers ‘Should Be’ Ready for Release Day
David Sirland, Lead Producer for the upcoming *Battlefield 6*, told a Twitter user that the game’s servers are expected to be ready by its launch this Friday. He explained that the team is working to ensure a good experience for players, and the recent open beta helped them prepare for the expected number of players. This isn’t the first time someone from the *Battlefield* team has addressed server concerns. In August, Studio Technical Director Christian Buhl stated the goal is to have no server queues at launch. They’ve been simulating player traffic and improving servers based on the beta feedback. While there is a limit to how many players can join at once, the team believes that limit is higher than they anticipate needing.
Honestly, I’m a little worried about whether the servers can handle the launch. Everything I’m seeing suggests it’s going to be *huge*. Analysts are saying *Battlefield 6* already racked up 1.7 million pre-orders just on Steam, and they predict another 5 million copies will sell in the first week! Plus, around 22 million people played the open beta. I know not everyone who tried the beta will buy the game right away, but we’re still looking at potentially massive player numbers on day one. Hopefully, the devs are prepared!
The release of *Battlefield 6* is just days away, and players will soon see how well the game servers are handling the launch. Some gamers have already received their copies and report that the servers are working. The rest of the community won’t have to wait much longer to join the action as the release date approaches.
