Battlefield 6 Devs Are Already Making Changes to Rush

Developers of Battlefield 6 have already modified the Rush game mode, a feature that was introduced during the second weekend of open beta testing.

The live Open Beta weekend for Battlefield 6 is underway, attracting countless gamers eager to experience two novel modes and a fresh map. Anticipation likely runs high among many players, who can’t wait for the weekend festivities. Yet, it’s worth noting that one of the weekend’s launched game modes, Rush, has already been adjusted by the BF6 development team.

Battlefield 6 Devs Are Changing the MCOM Timer in Rush

In a recent update on Battlefield Comms’ platform (previously Twitter), it was announced that some adjustments have been implemented in the game modes Breakthrough and Rush. The respawn timers for defenders in these two modes have been specifically set at 12 seconds, reducing the previous range between 6 to 12 seconds. Additionally, in Breakthrough, the number of players required to capture an objective has been reduced.

I’m thrilled to share that we’ve tweaked the balance a bit: In the intense game mode known as Breakthrough, it now takes fewer players on an objective to accelerate capture. Additionally, defenders in both Breakthrough and Rush will respawn every 12 seconds instead of the previous random interval between 6-12 seconds. Can’t wait to jump back in and experience these changes!

Not too long ago, the Battlefield Comms account shared a new update about the Rush mode in Battlefield 6. To make things more even for both attacking and defending teams, they decreased the MCOM timer from 45 to 30 seconds. The developers plan to keep an eye on this game mode and make additional balance tweaks as necessary.

The MCOM timer has been adjusted in Rush, now set at 30 seconds instead of 45, aiming to enhance game balance by favoring both offensive and defensive players more evenly. Keep an eye out for any additional tweaks we might make moving forward!

Over the course of Battlefield 6’s Open Beta Weekend 2, a number of players have expressed worries regarding the Rush Mode in the game. Renowned Battlefield content creator, Westie, is among those expressing concerns about Battlefield 6’s Rush mode on various platforms. They argue that there are significant balance issues across all maps and no room for movement between MCOM locations. Additionally, players within the r/Battlefield subreddit have voiced similar complaints, stating that the game mode is limited to only 12v12 matches.

The updates to the timer in BF6 are beneficial, but users are pressing for further adjustments, particularly in the Rush mode, such as providing “adequate room,” among other modifications. Nevertheless, it’s important to remember that Battlefield 6 is currently in beta testing. The purpose of this beta phase is to discover and rectify issues like these, which can be resolved before the official release.
