In a more readable and natural form: Battlefield 6 is reaching out to its player base for assistance in resolving an unexpectedly rapid “time-to-death” glitch that surfaced during the open beta testing of the game. This test provided players with an early opportunity to experience the much-anticipated title, which is set to launch on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S on October 10, 2025.
The inaugural week of the beta for Battlefield 6 transpired from August 7th through August 10th, and it set remarkable benchmarks in the franchise’s history. During this test, players were given access to the Siege of Cairo, Liberation Peak, and Iberian Offensive maps, as well as five game modes, including the popular Conquest mode. While the beta managed to keep the gaming community occupied and involved, Battlefield 6 did encounter some issues such as a significant number of cheaters and a clash with anti-cheat software that necessitated PC players to uninstall Valorant temporarily. In addition to these problems, the developers are currently working on resolving another issue that arose during the Battlefield 6 testing phase.
Battlefield 6 Investigates Unexpectedly Fast Time to Death (TTD) Bug
one where a player is instantly knocked out yet doesn’t see any evidence of being hit, and another instance where the player sustains damage several seconds after getting shot. Time-to-death (TTD) refers to the duration it takes for a player to perish following a hit.
Besides requesting reports about the sudden quick demise issue, Florian Le Bihan also asked players to share videos where they get hit by “speedy bullets.” Additionally, players can find a detailed rundown of other problems reported during the Battlefield 6 beta on the official Electronic Arts forum. Some examples include players being unable to mark or identify targets while inside a vehicle, the “shrink map” button not working after opening the map in-game, and the character in Battlefield 6 being unable to mark enemies when using stationary weapons.
Despite the shutdown of the servers for Battlefield 6, the development crew is still gathering player feedback to make improvements. Excitingly, Battlefield 6 will be back for a second round of open beta starting August 14 and concluding August 17. Players who get another opportunity to test the game can also earn rewards by participating in the second week: they can unlock the War Machine vehicle skin, the Bat Company dog tag, and the Striking Distance weapon package.
