Some players are displeased following the latest leak of potential features for Battlefield 6, which seems to include a contentious gameplay element that may not sit well with fans who prefer playing as a sniper. This recent Battlefield 6 leak might cause concern among snipers enthusiasts.
Over the past few months, I’ve been fortunate enough to be among those invited to test-play Battlefield 6 through Battlefield Labs. This exclusive opportunity has allowed me to offer my thoughts and feedback on the upcoming installment in the series. Needless to say, these playtests have led to numerous leaks, providing us fans with a sneak peek at what Battlefield 6 might offer before its official unveiling. Just yesterday, a 40-minute gameplay footage of Battlefield 6 surfaced online, offering one of the most extensive previews we’ve seen yet. The game is undeniably stunning, but there’s one aspect that seems to have left many fans feeling less than thrilled.
A leaked video showcasing gameplay from an upcoming Battlefield 6 title appeared on Reddit recently. In the footage, a sniper rifle is fired, causing a massive bullet trace that immediately reveals the shooter’s location due to its thickness and longevity, making it difficult for players to find cover. The community’s response was largely negative, with some expressing displeasure towards this mechanic, stating they “hate this feature” and suggesting that “scope glint was already sufficient.” Another user lamented that “stealth sniping is no more,” arguing that it essentially removes the appeal of using a sniper rifle in Battlefield. One particularly vocal critic even claimed that “this won’t make it to the live game.
Battlefield 6 Seems to Have Sniper Bullet Trails, and Fans Aren’t Happy
Despite a general disapproval among the community regarding sniper bullet trails in Battlefield 6, there remains a glimmer of hope for fans. A specific build by Battlefield Labs, dating back to May 2025, suggests that the feature might not be included in the final version due to its outdated status. These playtests serve primarily as a platform for gathering player feedback and making necessary adjustments. In fact, it’s an opportune moment for such errors to occur. If Battlefield Studios is actively engaged with its community, there’s a high probability that sniper bullet trails will be omitted from the final edition of Battlefield 6.
I’m eagerly anticipating Battlefield Studios to shed light soon on whether sniper bullet trails are part of the upcoming game, Battlefield 6. The multiplayer unveiling is scheduled for July 31st, and if there’s any sign of sniper action during this event, it’ll definitely be worth keeping an eye on. However, fans won’t have definitive answers until the game is officially released, with rumors suggesting a potential launch date of October 10th.
