Battlefield 6 Fans Aren’t Happy With the Game’s Campaign Reveal

This week, EA and Battlefield Studios revealed the first gameplay trailer for the new Battlefield game. While excitement for the upcoming shooter is higher than it was for Battlefield 2042, many fans are expressing concerns about the single-player campaign. As more gameplay footage is released by YouTubers and the media, some noticeable problems with the campaign are starting to emerge.

Following the difficult launch of *Battlefield 2042*, EA and Battlefield Studios have been under pressure to deliver a better experience with the next installment. While the campaign for *Battlefield 6* hasn’t been publicly playable yet, players have had a chance to try out the multiplayer during two open beta tests earlier this year. Despite some discussion about how the game handles movement, fans generally loved the improvements made over the previous game. The beta test was a major win for EA, becoming the largest playtest in *Battlefield* history.

Battlefield 6 Fans Have Serious Concerns About the Game’s Campaign

Following positive reactions to the multiplayer features, EA recently released the first gameplay trailer for the campaign mode of *Battlefield 6*. However, many players aren’t impressed with what they’ve seen. On the *Battlefield* subreddit, one user described the campaign as looking “rough,” specifically highlighting awkward movements by the computer-controlled characters. A video clip shows three of these characters glitching and walking in circles after the player simply walks by them.

It’s not just fans on Reddit that are concerned either, YouTuber BigfryTV, who got to go hands-on with some of the missions in Battlefield 6‘s Campaign, says that it likely won’t be a memorable experience. The content creator also compares the few missions they played to 2019’s Modern Warfare Campaign, which is often described as one of Call of Duty‘s best, but says that it “doesn’t even come close.” He goes on to say that he believes the single-player portion of the game is “inherently designed terribly.”

Fans are really hyped about the game’s Multiplayer mode, but the reaction to the single-player Campaign hasn’t been positive. This negative feedback comes shortly after DICE’s leader, Rebecka Coutaz, stated her goal was to make this new *Battlefield* game the best one yet. Coutaz recently joined DICE after the release of *Battlefield 2042*, and she expressed feeling a strong commitment to delivering a truly exceptional *Battlefield* experience.
