Despite a hugely successful launch – with over 700,000 players on Steam alone and over $100 million earned in a single day – fans of the latest *Battlefield* game are disappointed by the removal of some favorite features. Many are asking EA and DICE to reconsider and bring those mechanics back into the game.
Even though *Battlefield 6* has been very popular, it hasn’t been without problems since launch. The game’s first season plan upset some longtime fans who felt it was missing key features from older *Battlefield* games and was starting to resemble *Call of Duty*. While the game has a strong anti-cheat system, some players are still encountering cheaters. Now, players are requesting that EA and DICE add back several popular features that are currently missing.
A Reddit user named Rainy55 posted on the Battlefield subreddit asking the developers to include features from older games in Battlefield 6. Specifically, they’d like to see the return of automatic bollards (like those in Battlefield 4) to help deal with vehicles, as well as working elevators and dynamic weather that could affect gameplay. The user also suggested adding subways or underground tunnels. Many of the requested features were originally present in Battlefield 4.
Battlefield 6 Fans Want Old Franchise Staples Back
Fans responding to the post shared concerns about missing features in *Battlefield 6*. Many frequently requested the return of dynamic weather, which had been a popular element in older *Battlefield* games. Some players also felt the maps were too small, hoping for larger environments similar to those in previous installments. The lack of underground areas in the New York City maps struck some as unusual, considering the city’s famous subway system.

Despite some initial criticism from dedicated fans, *Battlefield 6* is maintaining strong player interest. The developers have already released several updates in the nine days since launch, fixing bugs and improving the overall experience. EA and DICE have also hinted at a lot more content coming soon, including new maps and game modes in Season 1. Players are hoping the developers will address their concerns and add features they’ve been requesting.
