Battlefield 6 offers a lot to unlock, but most players will focus on getting new weapons and attachments. These items are earned by playing and gaining experience, which can take a while. Luckily, the game includes XP boosts to speed up the process.
In *Battlefield 6*, you need to turn on XP Boosters before they start giving you extra points. The game’s menus aren’t always clear about how to do this, so here’s a simple guide to activating them.
How to Activate XP Boosters in Battlefield 6
To use any XP Boosters you’ve saved, you’ll first need to start a match. Once in the game, press the Escape or Start button to open the pause menu. Look for the XP Boost icon – it’s located on the upper-right side of the screen, above the Challenges list.
Go to the XP Boost tab to see all the boosters you have. From there, you can choose which ones to use. You can use multiple XP Boosters at the same time to get even more XP, which is great for long play sessions or when you’re working to unlock new weapons in BF6.
You can turn on XP Boosts from the main menu. When you’re choosing a playlist, you’ll also see the XP Boost button right above the daily challenges.
In *Battlefield 6*, XP Boosters start counting down as soon as you activate them, even if you’re not actively playing. The timer runs while you’re in the main menu, loading screens, or waiting in pre-game lobbies. Because of this, it’s best to only turn on your XP Boosts when you’ve already joined a match to get the most out of them.
Career vs Hardware Boosters
Career XP Boosters help you level up your main account faster. If you’re aiming to rank up quickly in BF6, use these boosters and try to achieve a high score during each match to maximize your XP gains.
Hardware Boosters now impact how quickly your weapons and vehicles level up. Just so you know, weapons and vehicles now gain experience points (XP) to unlock improvements – a change from older Battlefield games which relied on getting kills to unlock those same upgrades.
Vehicles gain experience very fast in *Battlefield 6*, so using an XP boost for them probably isn’t needed.
XP Modifiers
Besides XP boosters you can use, you automatically earn 5% more XP simply by playing the game. You’ll get another 5% bonus if you team up with friends, so playing in a party is a great way to level up faster!
Playing Breakthrough is a fantastic way to earn experience points. If you can stay in a match for a while, you’ll quickly make progress towards unlocking new items.
