Although EA and DICE haven’t officially announced a release date, recent leaks suggest the highly anticipated Battle Royale mode for Battlefield 6 will be unexpectedly released with Season 1 on October 28th. This date was previously rumored by an industry source, and now a data miner exploring the EA Play app has found evidence supporting a new content release next week.
The first season for Battlefield 6 launches next week. Although a Battle Royale mode hasn’t been officially announced, EA and DICE have shared details about the new map, game modes, weapons, and other content coming with the update. The season will be released in three parts, starting on October 28th. A second map will be added on November 18th, and the final major update will arrive on December 9th.
Battlefield 6’s Battle Royale May Arrive With Season 1
So, back in September, a reliable source, ModernWarzone, said that Battlefield 6‘s Battle Royale mode might drop around the end of October. Then, when EA detailed Season 1, it looked like October 28th was the target date. Now, a data miner, Onebattlefield, dug into the EA Play app and found even more evidence pointing to something new happening on October 28th – something separate from Season 1, but launching on the same day. It’s all still unconfirmed by EA, but it’s looking more and more likely that we’ll get Battle Royale then!
Rumors suggest the new game mode will be released unexpectedly on October 28th, similar to how Call of Duty: Warzone launched in 2020. However, fans should be cautious until EA or DICE officially confirms this. What we know so far is that Battlefield 6‘s Battle Royale will be different from others, featuring a dangerous new element: a closing circle that instantly eliminates players it touches. Unlike games like Warzone and Fortnite, where players can use the storm to gain an edge, this new circle is instantly fatal.

A recent leak gave us a peek at the game modes planned for the Battle Royale in the upcoming Battlefield 6. If the leak is accurate, players will be able to jump into familiar modes like Solos, Duos, Trios, and Quads when it launches. There will also be a new mode called Gauntlet, where teams compete to complete challenges. The team with the lowest score in each round will be eliminated until only one team remains as the winner.
