Battlefield 6 Makes Big Change to Conquest

The developers of Battlefield 6, DICE, have responded to player feedback by increasing the ticket count for Conquest mode on all maps. A recent update now gives teams 1,200 tickets each, up from 1,000. Since the game launched in October, DICE has been monitoring how players are enjoying the game, looking at things like win rates and how often objectives are captured. This change aims to make matches last longer and keep the focus on playing the objectives rather than simply eliminating opponents.

The newest Battlefield game has been generally well-received, but many longtime fans are disappointed with some of its changes. They feel the game is moving away from what makes Battlefield unique and trying to be more like Call of Duty, with smaller maps and quicker gameplay. Shortly after launch in October, the developers reduced the number of tickets needed to win in the popular Conquest mode, making matches shorter. This decision caused a lot of negative feedback, and the developers ultimately changed it back to the original setting.

Battlefield 6 Increases Conquest Ticket Count

It seems DICE has listened to player feedback and is continuing to improve the Conquest mode in Battlefield 6. The latest update, now available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, increases the ticket count for Conquest on all maps from 1,000 to 1,200. DICE also made changes in update 1.1.2.0 to better reward players for capturing and holding objectives, making teamwork and objective-based gameplay more impactful. DICE believes focusing on objectives is a core part of what makes Battlefield unique, and these changes reinforce that.

Capturing objectives has always been a key part of the Battlefield series, but the developers of Battlefield 6 have been trying out different ways to play. A recent addition, released in an update on November 18th called California Resistance, is a new game mode called Sabotage. It’s a fast-paced 8v8 mode where teams battle to either destroy or protect important cargo at various locations on the map. Any weapon or explosion can damage the cargo, and the team that destroys the most wins.

If you enjoy first-person shooter games and haven’t tried Battlefield 6, you’ll get a chance to play it for free later this month. EA announced a free trial running from November 15th to December 1st. During this period, you can play three maps and five game modes for as long as you like. The trial ends shortly before the release of a major update, Winter Offensive, on December 9th, which will introduce a new map, a melee weapon, and a special event.
